I usually avoid hotel restaurants as I find them on average not great value. While Geso is certainly at a higher-end price point, the food quality & service lived up to it. I tried the buffala & tomatoes, as well as the filet & the lemon torte. All were excellent, & despite being an Italian restaurant, Chef Giovanni made one of the best medium rare filets I can immediately recall. A great selection of Italian reds. The restaurant manager Giancarlo made every effort to get to know us during our stay & make us feel welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a solid mid-to-higher-end Italian choice in Ville-Marie.

Walked across the street from our hotel, & found this delightfully surprising little Italian place. Really good food! We had eggplant Parmesan, garlic-crusted salmon, & mushroom spaghetti. & a special shout-out to the man that took care of us so well: GianCarlo.

Giancarlo & his team were exceptional. The food was nothing short of epic, & some of the most authentic & delicious Italian food I have experienced!... The service was 5 star, I will be back next time I am in Montreal!.. I would highly recommend Geso, it was not just a fantastic meal, it was an experience, & one I hope to have again soon !..

We had dinner at Geso tonight a tucked away little gem. We started off with the Frito Misto which was superb. I had the Osso Boco with Saffron Risotto which was to die for & my husband had the Bistecca was fine to perfection. The food here is fresh & amazing. Giancarlo & the staff were very attentive & cordial. We will be back to try something else from the menu.
