Just finished a delicious authentic pasta & generous Caesar salad. Giovanni & staff offer wonderful hospitality & delicious food! Giovanni was especially accommodating as he arranged dinner for us even though the restaurant was very busy. Our thanks, appreciation & admiration! Bravo!!!
I usually avoid hotel restaurants as I find them on average not great value. While Geso is certainly at a higher-end price point, the food quality & service lived up to it. I tried the buffala & tomatoes, as well as the filet & the lemon torte. All were excellent, & despite being an Italian restaurant, Chef Giovanni made one of the best medium rare filets I can immediately recall. A great selection of Italian reds. The restaurant manager Giancarlo made every effort to get to know us during our stay & make us feel welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a solid mid-to-higher-end Italian choice in Ville-Marie.

Rien n'était mauvais. Pour le prix, la nourriture était très ordinaire, le chef était incapable de faire une recommandation à mon épouse, la déco était banale. Il y a bien mieux pour bien moins cher.
We went to this restaurant because it is close to our hotel & the menu looked good on their website. But things turned out to be way better than that! Not only was the food delicious, the bottle of Barolo was really good too. The owner & the staff were very kind & helpful. We had a lovely chat with the owner who also gave us useful tips for our stay in Montreal.
We highly recommend this restaurant! Good meals, good vibes, nice people. Made our day.
Walked across the street from our hotel, & found this delightfully surprising little Italian place. Really good food! We had eggplant Parmesan, garlic-crusted salmon, & mushroom spaghetti. & a special shout-out to the man that took care of us so well: GianCarlo.
The best meal we have had in a long while! Sunday evening & we had been walking all day & were very tired. Giovanni made us feel very welcomed & took great care of us! Filet mignon melted in my mouth! Salmon was amazing also! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was a delightful experience. Attentive yet discreet service & food prepared by people who care about tastes & texture.
My lamb was absolutely perfect with a sauce that was exquisite.
The worst meal we had in Montreal Underdone ravioli with a lobster sauce that was over salted. Caesar salad was u dwelling with very little dressing, & what was there tasted like kraft dressing. Hardly any cheese. No bread with the meal. Minestrone soup was blah-under seasoned. Desserts were not tasty-the chocolate cake looked good but didn't taste fresh nor very chocolatey. The cheesecake was soggy & just not good. Save your money. This restaurant was not worth it!
My third time there & I highly recommend GESO. The food, service & overall ambiance prove consistently impeccable. Nothing beats that combination. Parking is fairly easy, along Sherbrooke or St. Marc. They even have a closed off dining room, for groups.
I had the pleasure of eating here at a company Christmas party, & I have to say I really enjoyed my experience. The restaurant is very nice, the food was really delicious & the service was excellent!

Tried Geso Ristorante on my last night in Montreal & wish I knew about it sooner! Started with Insalata Mista & Bufala e Pomodorini-both were fresh & delightful. For my main course-the Rigatoni al la Bolognese was one of the best I have ever tasted. The owner & staff were very personable. Their attention to the finer details made our date night a cozy & vibrant dining experience. Highly recommend!!
Giancarlo & his team were exceptional. The food was nothing short of epic, & some of the most authentic & delicious Italian food I have experienced!... The service was 5 star, I will be back next time I am in Montreal!.. I would highly recommend Geso, it was not just a fantastic meal, it was an experience, & one I hope to have again soon !..
I read the reviews & thought it should be good. The food was not great, no flavour at all both my appetizer & my main. Especially at these prices, the food was like it came from some food court. On the upside the wine was good as was the service. Would not recommend, much better places to eat in Montreal.
We had dinner at Geso tonight a tucked away little gem. We started off with the Frito Misto which was superb. I had the Osso Boco with Saffron Risotto which was to die for & my husband had the Bistecca was fine to perfection. The food here is fresh & amazing. Giancarlo & the staff were very attentive & cordial. We will be back to try something else from the menu.
