The designer Jacques Gaspo from Foodtastic (behind La Belle & La Boeuf, Souvlaki Bar, Carlos & Pepe’s, Le Blossom, the new Nickels and Bacaro Pizzeria) developed Gatto Matto over a two year period. A revolutionary and Avant-Garde Art Deco concept with a flower bar theme that is a fusion between Chicago and Italy. Using premium materials designed and manufactured in Montreal, the elements marry themselves wonderfully. Bright and vibrant colors give a WOW factor that will make you feel like in a modern Milan hotel with a girly touch. The creation of the open kitchen concept never seen before in the Montreal area (in collaboration with Hagop Hagopian, director of operations at Foodtastic and expert in kitchen design) allows you to see the best chefs in the region at work. Un souper parfait du début à la fin.
Le service était personnalisé & attentionné.
La nourriture était divine, c'est rare où il n'y a rien à dire. Mon poisson était brûlant à son arrivé & tout était délicieux.

Nous sommes allés aujourd'hui & nous avons adoré. Le service était rapide & le serveur très courtois . La nourriture était excellente. Le seul point négatif, selon moi est la portion un peu petite pour le prix .

Très bon restaurant !!! Si vous avez la chance d'avoir Nuno comme serveur prenez-le vous ne serez pas déçu & vous serez très bien accueilli !! Il mettera de l'ambiance à votre soirée c'est garanti ! Je recommande milles fois !!

Je recommande fortement ! Bonne ambiance, la musique est bonne, la nourriture & l'alcool aussi ! Mais ce qui démarque le plus le restaurant c'est le service. Nuno le meilleur serveur ! Demandé d'être servi par lui vous ne serait pas dessus 💯

I had an incredible dining experience at Gatto Matto! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant & stylish, with a perfect mix of modern & classic Italian charm. The service was outstanding-our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich & well-balanced, & the ingredients tasted fresh & high-quality. The cocktail menu was also impressive, with creative & well-crafted drinks. To top it all off, the desserts were divine! The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had-light, creamy, & full of flavor. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, Gatto Matto is the place to go. Highly recommend & can't wait to return!

Service was faster than expected, food was very good, drinks were good, music was good for me (I like afro house) - No complaints at all - clean & nice decor & free parking in the place bell building for clients of the restaurant.

We recently visited Gatto Matto in Laval, & while the experience wasn't bad, it didn't quite live up to our expectations compared to the Boisbriand location. The atmosphere in Laval was nice enough, & the staff were friendly, but the food didn't impress us as much as we remembered from the Boisbriand location. The dishes we tried felt a bit lackluster in comparison-some of the flavors were flat, & the pasta didn't have the same freshness we enjoyed at the Boisbriand spot. Overall, while the Laval location wasn't terrible, we definitely prefer the Boisbriand Gatto Matto. The food there seems more consistent & flavorful, & the vibe feels a bit more inviting. We'll be sticking to Boisbriand next time, but we hope the Laval location can improve to match the high standard set by the other one.
