Beautifully designed restaurant. Reservations are recommended because it is next to Place Bell. There is indoor parking underneath. The plates are not too big which is great because pasta can be very heavy & filling, but here, the portions are very reasonable. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. The pastas were delicious, especially the carbonara & the frutti di mare linguini. I don't recommend the beef cavatelli because it was way too salty. The pizzas here are amazing. Their dough is very soft & easy to eat. Our waitress Alicia was extremely nice & accomodating. This restaurant has a great vibe. I truly recommend it.
Une des pires expériences que j'ai eue. J'avais une réservation & le resto était presque vide & ils nous ont quand même mis dans sur une petite table dans un coin collé à leur stand où ils travaillent. De plus ils nous ont dit qu'on pourrait rester un maximum de 2h. Lorsque nous avons demandé une autre table, ils nous ont amené à une table sale avec tellement de miettes sur la banquette qu'on croirait qu'ils ont vidé leurs vidanges sur le banc. Ils n'ont rien nettoyé & nous ont ensuite dit qu'on pouvait finalement rester que 1h30. Finalement après avoir attendu une éternité pour notre nourriture nous avons reçu des pizzas toutes mouillées qui gouttaient absolument DÉGUELASSE nous pensions avoir eu une intoxication alimentaire car nous avons eue d'horribles maux de ventre. Aussi n'oublions pas que la serveuse était très impolie.
Allée avec des amies pour un bacherolette, l'expérience a été fabuleuse! Karla nous a servies & elle était super sympathique, à l'écoute, patiente & à son affaire. Délicieuse nourriture (j'ai pris la pizza prosciutto & les calmars frits). Seul hic dans l'ambiance : la musique était de plus en plus forte à mesure que la soirée avançait & on a fini par avoir du mal à s'entendre parler. Malgré tout, c'était de la bonne musique & le décor est aussi vraiment joli. Je recommande!

We went without any reservation, but was able to get a table in about 10 minutes. We tried their breakfast lasagna, break pizza & brioche eggs Benny. Food was really good, we really enjoyed. Service & the atmosphere are good. Mistakenly we got served another option instead of lasagna we ordered, however they switched it without any trouble at all. Only downside is that they don't have many options in their brunch menue. After 4 pm they switch to their regular menu.
Due to the location, only paid parking is available. But you can find parking within walking distance easily.
Très beau restaurant, service rapide & impeccable. Le tataki de thon était excellent, par contre les pâtes pesto étaient pas très bonne. Trop sallé, trop crémeuse...je ne les ai pas fini. La pizza était OK.
I visited Gatto Matto after a round of virtual golf with a few friends, & overall, it was a very positive experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. The staff was attentive across the board-from the hostess who seated us, to our waiter, to the team members who regularly checked in, refilled water, & kept our wine topped up. One staff member in particular (I unfortunately didn't catch her name) was especially attentive & made sure everything was running smoothly at our table.
They were also patient & accommodating while we waited for friends who were delayed due to traffic & parking issues following the letout of the Laval Rockets hockey game at Place Bell.
The only downside on the service side was the two-hour table limit, which, while understandable on a busy Saturday night, did add a bit of pressure to the evening.
As for the food, we started with the salmon tartare & grilled octopus-both were well-prepared & flavorful. For mains, my wife had a Pizza Burrata & I had a pasta with guanciale meat, which one of my friends also ordered. The dishes were good, though I found the pasta portion a bit small, especially considering the price. That said, pricing is generally in line with what you'd expect for pasta in Montreal.
The wine selection was decent but nothing remarkable. Like most restaurants, prices start around $50 per bottle, & while acceptable, the quality didn't quite match the cost-I've had better at that price point.
We also looked into the meat platter, which ranges from roughly $150 to $180 for two to three people. While it includes premium items like lobster tails & shrimp, it still feels expensive compared to similar platters at smokehouse-style restaurants.
Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent, & the experience was enjoyable. It's on the pricier side, but still a place I would return to.
Music is very loud, the pizzas are very oily & they gave me back my birthday cake cut in pieces all smashed up & in small separate boxes, they also did not give back the box of candles I gave them with the cake.
