The designer Jacques Gaspo from Foodtastic (behind La Belle & La Boeuf, Souvlaki Bar, Carlos & Pepe’s, Le Blossom, the new Nickels and Bacaro Pizzeria) developed Gatto Matto over a two year period. A revolutionary and Avant-Garde Art Deco concept with a flower bar theme that is a fusion between Chicago and Italy. Using premium materials designed and manufactured in Montreal, the elements marry themselves wonderfully. Bright and vibrant colors give a WOW factor that will make you feel like in a modern Milan hotel with a girly touch. The creation of the open kitchen concept never seen before in the Montreal area (in collaboration with Hagop Hagopian, director of operations at Foodtastic and expert in kitchen design) allows you to see the best chefs in the region at work. Went to Gatto Matto before a concert & it was packed but somehow the service was still super quick. The vibe in there is amazing, really cool atmosphere. Food was seriously tasty, drinks were great, & prices were better than I expected.
Huge shoutout to Charles our waiter, he was awesome. Super friendly, on top of everything, & just made the night better. Definitely coming back for brunch sometime soon!

Gr8 spot for dinner & drinks after an event at Place Bell.
Our hostess Béatriz & others were so attentive & welcoming.
Would have loved to sit on the patio or the main area but we didn't have a reservation so we were delighted to get a table.
Thank you Gatto Matto, looking forward to being back soon!

Food was pretty good all over. Restaurant is nice but super noisy at busy times.
Servers were great & all but forgot or mixed up a few drinks.

Ouran was the best gave such an amazing service & made our stay here so fun. She guided us on what to drink & eat & she did not disappoint ! 5 stars isn't enough for her amazing service

Magnifique restaurant, une tellement belle ambiance à chaque fois! J'ai adoré mon expérience surtout avec le service de stacy ainsi que Marielle & l'amabilité de Amy. C'est sure que je vais revenir ! Leur drinks étaient excellents & les repas qu'on a mangés étaient succulents!👌🏻

Food in general very good… service 8/10 depends how busy it is. Music very good & not too loud, the only problem as soon as you finish eating & about to enjoy the music it ends around 11:30-ish..drinks are pretty good amount of alcohol…

Good Italian restaurant with decent menu for a birthday dinner.
The host was attentive to our needs, drinks were kept topped off & friendly to
Boot.
I ordered the pistachio burrata spaghetti & don't let the portion size deceive you. I was very full after & found the portion generous.
I want to add that the fries were a letdown. These were oil-logged. & after a few bites I couldn't have anymore. Also, while I found the prices for everything on the menu very reasonable, I found it was overpriced for the fries (not including the fact that our plate of fries was untouched because of the oil).
For the dessert we had the Nutella bomboloni. Delicious & was one of the better bomboloni I've ever had.
This place had the music turned up way too loud. It's a mix of popular 2000s hits retuned to a dance beat. While it was nice to hop to a dance version of'smooth operator', this made conversation impossible. & I do recall leaving with a headache.

Went there before an event at Place Bell & the service was top tier.
From the drinks to the cauliflowers, the Ceasar salad, everything was amazing. Last but not least, the chef's BOARD was a piece of work! Flavors & presentation.

I had an incredible dining experience at Gatto Matto! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant & stylish, with a perfect mix of modern & classic Italian charm. The service was outstanding-our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich & well-balanced, & the ingredients tasted fresh & high-quality. The cocktail menu was also impressive, with creative & well-crafted drinks. To top it all off, the desserts were divine! The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had-light, creamy, & full of flavor. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, Gatto Matto is the place to go. Highly recommend & can't wait to return!

Service was faster than expected, food was very good, drinks were good, music was good for me (I like afro house) - No complaints at all - clean & nice decor & free parking in the place bell building for clients of the restaurant.

Went there last week with my friends, food was great! & the drinks are super light & delicious, our server Veronica was amazing she was super nice & social! She made our evening even more special than it already was! Definitely recommend asking to be sat in her section when you go!

Great choice if you're going to Center Bell or not. The staff was friendly & quick to take our orders. They have a varried drink menu as well as their food menu. Delicious Italian food! If you like calamari, tartares, pasta, pizza, & parmesan fries, then go eat there. The portion size of the main dishes isn't big, but the quality is spot on! The fries were a large amount & mouth watering!

Went there for a table of 2 it took a while for the food to arrive & the food was very mid you could get the same tasting pizza at papa's john. I never leave review but i was very disappointing. Also the drinks were too sweet couldn't taste the wine in the sangria. Would recommend going to Sergiolino & Rosso Cielo more or even Labelle & La Boeuf fir their price range & the quality of the food

Nous avons été servis par Stacy. Son service était impeccable, Rapide, efficace. De très bonne humeur & gentille. Nos plats étaient très bons. Un peu cher (comme partout maintenant),mais nous n'étions pas déçus. Les drinks sont excellents aussi. Je recommande.

Beau resto, serveuse charmante, drink & entrées très bien, où ça se gâte c'est pour les pâtes & les plats principaux: pâtes sèches & sans saveur, au menu une assiette de spaghetti au homard, tomates cerises, huile olive/ail/citron, il n'y avait aucune tomate, 3 miettes de homard & des pâtes sans saveur & sans huile. À $40, honteux pour un resto qui se dit italien. Mon ami a opté pour le mac-n-cheese, même chose pâtes sèches, très peu de fromage (le principe c'est d'avoir plein de fromage), pas bon. Le saumon était trop cuit. Donc, pour l'ambiance, un bon drink & une entrés ça va. Pour le parking ne vous fier pas à leur conseil: j'ai pris la porte 13 de la place Bell, ça a coûté $30 quand ils indiquent que ce sera gratuit. Soirée très dispendieuse.

Party of 7 Food was very good very tasty The pasta was delicious Rigatoni vodka sauce & linguini frutti di mare was the popular choice Drinks were very refreshing & large choice Service was a bit slow but it was really full & bustling with people Nice ambiance good music A must try !! Parking is no issue there's indoor free parking with ticket validated by the restaurant.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! We started off with drinks : the lychee martini, Classico caesar, blood orange mule & the paloma. All were received very well but the paloma was stronger than all the rest. I then got my appetizer, fried calamari & I loved it! Perfect crisp. For our mains we got the rigatoni pasta, 50 layer lasagna, seafood linguini & the margherita pizza. The two girls who got the lasagna said it was just average. The pizza & rigatoni were amazing though. I had gotten the seafood linguini & it was also average to me. I loved the shrimp & calamari in it though. Our waitress was super sweet & the service was good. The inside of the restaurant really makes it what it is. Just beautiful!! We had a concert at Place Bell the same night, & the restaurant was right next to the venue, so it was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area.

la nourriture na pas de goût. les drinks alcoolisés sont très bon, surtout le paloma. le service est bien mais un peu lent. le décor est beau. Stationnement payant 20$ car il n'a aucun stationnement dans la rue.

Good, drinks & service were great! Large portions & good service! The only negative is that it's very dark & keeps getting darker, which some people may like, but I found it a bit too dark.
