The designer Jacques Gaspo from Foodtastic (behind La Belle & La Boeuf, Souvlaki Bar, Carlos & Pepe’s, Le Blossom, the new Nickels and Bacaro Pizzeria) developed Gatto Matto over a two year period. A revolutionary and Avant-Garde Art Deco concept with a flower bar theme that is a fusion between Chicago and Italy. Using premium materials designed and manufactured in Montreal, the elements marry themselves wonderfully. Bright and vibrant colors give a WOW factor that will make you feel like in a modern Milan hotel with a girly touch. The creation of the open kitchen concept never seen before in the Montreal area (in collaboration with Hagop Hagopian, director of operations at Foodtastic and expert in kitchen design) allows you to see the best chefs in the region at work. I was at Gatto Matto on a Sunday afternoon, working as a photographer for a private event.
The service was exceptionally good; the entire staff is very attentive, professional & pleasant.
The location was clean & attractive.
To top it off, although I was busy working, I was given a complimentary pizza to take home & enjoy. I'm really happy because it was delicious. Tasty topping with a crust that was extraordinary.
Thanks for the pleasant experience! I really appreciated all your effort.

Went there before an event at Place Bell & the service was top tier.
From the drinks to the cauliflowers, the Ceasar salad, everything was amazing. Last but not least, the chef's BOARD was a piece of work! Flavors & presentation.

My wife & I visited Gatto Matto Laval on February 15, & I wanted to take a moment to share our experience. I've been here before, & every visit reinforces why this place is so special.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm & inviting, with a spotless interior & convenient indoor parking. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making you feel like a VIP from start to finish.
The food? Absolutely top-notch. Gatto Matto delivers consistently outstanding quality, taste, & presentation. From the fresh bread & vibrant salads to the perfectly cooked pasta, steak, & expertly crafted cocktails, everything is exceptional in both quality & value.
A special shoutout to our waiter, Nuno, who provided fantastic service with a friendly & attentive approach. He truly enhanced our dining experience.
What I love most about Gatto Matto is how it encourages me to explore new flavors. Their creative & well-balanced combinations have introduced me to tastes I wouldn't have tried elsewhere.
Without a doubt, this is my favorite restaurant. We'll definitely be back soon!

Nous sommes allés aujourd'hui & nous avons adoré. Le service était rapide & le serveur très courtois . La nourriture était excellente. Le seul point négatif, selon moi est la portion un peu petite pour le prix .
