Review Summary

Gâteau Brise is widely regarded as a hidden gem offering a diverse selection of fresh, high quality Chinese pastries and cakes that are praised for their light, subtle sweetness and generous fillings. Customers frequently highlight the exceptional durian and strawberry cakes, as well as the convenience of professional packaging and online ordering. While most find the staff helpful and the prices reasonable, some feedback notes a transactional service style and recent increases in costs. Overall, the bakery remains a popular destination for those seeking creative, delicious treats that evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Good pastries & cake with affordable prices!

Cakes & pastries used to be a real treat because the price was Really good while the quality is decent. But lately, price has gone up even for cakes & pastries that are 1 day old. We used to be able to find a mango cake one or two days old for $10 to 15 for 4 to 6 people. Now the cakes have shrunk & the bread, food & pastries from 1 day old or before have less discounts.

Other than that, I like coming here. We have gotten good matcha cake here in the past 😃

I got to say though that the cakes you can preorder for your friend or family's birthday can go easily up to 50$ or more. But the cakes usually are pretty good. (I give at least 70% regardless no matter which cake)… price is for sure more than chinatown & more than T&T, by 15-25 dollars, but you can usually taste the difference.

real hidden gem! my go-to bakery for affordable yummy fruit cakes

their pastries are perfectly priced & look amazing! plus, the staff is very kind & love to include freebies if you buy a birthday cake, they wrap it in a nice box & give utensils, a knife & some cake decorations for no extra cost!

they give point cards with coupons & i've already gone through 2 of them, i would recommend this to everyone i meet
