Best lebanese I've had!
My husband has raved about this place since he lived in Montreal 10+ years ago. We revisited his old haunting grounds, & he's happy to report that the quality is still the same. The chef/owner has been consistently making great Lebanese food. & even recognized my husband!
Everything was so delicious. The hummus was very creamy, the fattoush dressing was well balanced, the sojok spices were out of this world, the fatteh hummus was very unique, & the jebneh was perfectly crunchy. We also got the kanefe, but it was a bit sweet for my taste.
I would come back in a heartbeat. If you want fresh, delicious Lebanese food with great service, this is your spot.View more
This little gem was one of our favourite spots when we visited Montreal. Despite it being extremely busy for dinner, the staff were able to get our table for 4 seated in mere minutes & were attentive throughout. Without us even asking, they provided plastic plates for my young children & constantly refilled our pita basket & were gracious in answering questions or offering guidance about the menu. The servers were lovely & personable.
I found the food to be amazingly delicious, & the standouts for me were certainly the labneh, muhammara, fatteh lahmeh & the shish taouk. Best of all, the room was cozy & felt like I was eating at a friend's house!View more
Super small & cramped place but did not feel claustrophobic, it's more cozy! Came by without a reservation for lunch (2 people) & was lucky to get a seat. We shared pita, rice, chicken shish taouk & fatteh hummus with beef. The pita was fresh. Shish Taouk: lovely, grilled to perfection, came with creamy, yummy garlic sauce that went very quickly, comes with pickles & some weird pizza looking situation with onions which I did not try but looked good. Fatteh Hummus: a bit disappointed because they were really light on the beef but I've seen photos where they really gave a lot. The crunchy pita chips in the dip were WAY to oily - the establishment would benefit from getting crispy without tons of oil. I genuinely think this dip would've been better with garlic or tzatziki added to it. It was missing a brightness/acid which made it bit plain. The rice was just rice. All in all, I enjoyed my meal & was pretty stuffed. This cost us about $60 before tip.View more
Love it! Get the kibbeh nayyeh or the fatteh but also everything else on the menu was deliciousView more
Always a delicious experience. The fatteh hummus is spectacular & so is the kenafeh. The garlic potatoes are spiced to perfection!View more
This is undeniably the best Lebanese restaurant in Montréal. Every dish tastes & looks perfectly authentic. My recommendations are the fatteh dishes, muhammara, & baba ghanouj. I've visited Garage Beirut plenty of times in the last six years & can attest that the quality of their food has remained top-notch.View more
Cozy Lebanese place downtown, with a variety of dishes. Fatteh hummus, a yogurt base with crispy pita, cashews, & pomegranate to top. Really crunchy with a great texture profile to accompany their tough flatbread. I really adored their sojok, a crumbly beef sausage that was salty with some Middle Eastern undertones. It came with pomegranate syrup for some sweet & sticky contrast. Garlic potatoes had a crispy exterior, slightly soft interior, appropriate amount of seasoning, & garlic sauce was nice but they put it in a shallow bowl & it got everywhere. Their kenafeh was a sweet, pastry, slightly wet from a syrup on a bed of cheese. It was fragile compared to the tough cheese & the taste was fine.View more
It was my first but definitely not the last. The fatteh was divine 😋View more
Best fatteh! Even better than Beirut! This place is a must visit. Love its vibe 😍View more
Repas délicieux, surtout le kibbeh nayyeh & fatteh avec viande!!! Les patates à l'ail étaient le seul boff 🙌🙌 La serveuse était super gentille, top expérienceView more
we ordered the dip taster, pastry plate, moussaka, grilled halloumi, kebab khash khash, fatteh hummus, & garlic potatoes. all were yummy but our favorites were the garlic potatoes (hard 2 to go wrong), moussaka (the eggplant was very flavorful despite appearances), muhammara red pepper dip & the baba ghannouj. their hummus is lowkey whatever & halloumi is not worth it. the kebab was adequately juicy but not spicy as advertised. pita is whatever. altogether yummy but nothing spectacular cost wise, $30+ after tip & tax split between 5 people with a little bit food leftover. online reservation required input of credit card information & there is a 15 minute grace period before your table gets forfeited to the next waiting customers. it's a small restaurant with max capacity of like 30ish people so it makes sense. you should probably make a reservation to eat hereView more
A quaint restaurant near downtown Montreal, in a lively neighborhood. The food is authentic & lovely. The fattoosh salad is great, & so is the stew (fatteh). Of course you can go for grilled meat or chicken, but that's the easy choice. Really one of the best places to each middle-eastern or Lebanese food in Montreal (in addition to Kaza Maza). Go early, call before you go, & reserve online if you can, the place isn't that spacious & can get congested quickly as the quality of the food is high & the prices are reasonable. Enjoy!View more
I love lebanese cuisine & this place was really good! The staff were really nice, polite & friendly! The food was good too! We got Sojok & I loved it! That was really delicious! We also got Fatteh lamb & Shish Taouk chili & it was really good too! Overal, liked the place & the food!View more
Great service & nice guys, but the kebabs both meat & chicken were dry & so bland. Fatteh Hummus was so heavy & needed to be more sour. Nice experience though.View more
