The menu at Ganges Restaurant is composed of tandoori dishes of chicken, shrimp and lamb, fish curries and masalas (mainly shrimp and scallops), a large selection of chicken and lamb curries, dal soup, pakoras and a vegetarian selection. Ganges also serves combination meals for two to four people. Elegant decor and Exotic Ambiance featuring Indian artifacts and pictures. Ganges offers free delivery on take out orders. Three generations of my family love this place & call it our favourite. Nothing has beat it over the years. We moved farther away & yet still drive all the way to Ganges, because it's just that good! Their flavors are wonderful, & their portions are generous. Just 100% yum :) They set the bar. Anytime we try other Indian food, our comments are always "it's (good, okay...) but it's not Ganges". Raju was our waiter. He is pleasant, professional, engaged & prompt. The food was the best Indian I have ever had. Rich, robust, fresh, very flavourful, hot (temperature) & delicious. Sweet if you want with no burn, as you choose. Lamb, butter chicken, chip bread, Naan, rice, ALL excellent. No wonder they've been there for 40+ years. Simple outdated decor but a number of cool cultural artifacts as decoration. I'd go there to get that food if it was in the alley behind the place. 5 star food experience. Was one of the first Indian food experiences I had many many years ago. I have since eaten at many Indian restaurants. I recently went back as I was in the neighborhood, it is by far the best Indian food, service was good, & can't wait to go back! I wanted a spinach dish not on the menu & the whipped it up, & the lamb was so tender.View more

Very good group dinner at this byow. We got multiple appetizers, 5 curries & orders of rice & naan for a group of 5. We were all stuffed after. I would recommend the spicy lamb dishes. The butter chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste but everything else was great.View more
