The menu at Ganges Restaurant is composed of tandoori dishes of chicken, shrimp and lamb, fish curries and masalas (mainly shrimp and scallops), a large selection of chicken and lamb curries, dal soup, pakoras and a vegetarian selection. Really nice Indian food at this place. The chef is actually from Bangladesh so has a slight twist on the food that makes it unique. He's very creative & the dishes I tried are different than most others I've had at other places but very good. The service is excellent as well & the prices quite reasonable. Three generations of my family love this place & call it our favourite. Nothing has beat it over the years. We moved farther away & yet still drive all the way to Ganges, because it's just that good! Their flavors are wonderful, & their portions are generous. Just 100% yum :) They set the bar. Anytime we try other Indian food, our comments are always "it's (good, okay...) but it's not Ganges". Raju was our waiter. He is pleasant, professional, engaged & prompt. The food was the best Indian I have ever had. Rich, robust, fresh, very flavourful, hot (temperature) & delicious. Sweet if you want with no burn, as you choose. Lamb, butter chicken, chip bread, Naan, rice, ALL excellent. No wonder they've been there for 40+ years. Simple outdated decor but a number of cool cultural artifacts as decoration. I'd go there to get that food if it was in the alley behind the place. 5 star food experience.
