Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. Was a little apprehensive after seeing the google score, but I had heard good things so wanted to try for myself. The owner & staff were extremely accommodating from moment we showed up. I have two young children, one in a stroller who leaves more food on the floor than in her mouth, so we aren't exactly your perfect guests. However, we were warmly welcomed without issue, very family friendly. The restaurant was extremely clean, staff were professional & helpful & the food was delicious. It was a little on the sweet side, however that just made my kids eat more of it, they loved it! We had the butter chicken & tiki masala. We will definitely be back next time were in old montreal!
