About

The spice road in Old Montreal

Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. Gandhi engages all five senses to create a memorable dining experience. For those who prefer a take out, our team will be please to prepare your meal with the same touch of love!

Their Malai Madras is to die for. Good friends, good vibes, good Indian. Service good, food good, place good. Everything is nice. Just parking is so hard but what can you do, it's Old Montreal.

Delicious authentic Indian food!! Lovely staff!!
The Mango Lassi was like a dream, if I wasn't making room for food thats all I would have eaten for dinner.

When I was walking in the sign said 'Best Butter Chicken'! I told them they should add'Best Chicken Masala'! The flavors… chef's Indian kiss :)

Thank you for a lovely evening !!

Best Indian restaurant in Montreal undoubtedly!! The staff were extremely polite & friendly & helped us with the menu selection. What amazed me is the complimentary papad & 3 types chatnies & hot towel at the end to clean the hands!! I've definitely not seen this experience throughout southern ontario indian restaurants!! I would come back for sure.

Disappointing experience. Food was way too sweet for some reason & butter chicken too watery. Service was almost awkward & super minimal, mostly single words, not even hi or welcome. Feels like a standard tourist spot where they don't expect people back. Plateau has way better Indian restaurants with charm. Sorry, was not impressed at all

The food tasted a bit different than the Indian cuisine that I'm accustomed to - a bit creamier.
