Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. Our waiter Raoul was gracious & professional.

Food was subtle & tasty with many flavors. Spiced my dishes with side spice paste for heat.

My last visit to Montreal was 10yrs. ago & we had enjoyed a very good dinner at Restaurant Ghandi, so I was pleased to find it was still there on this visit. Again we enjoyed, excellent service, good food, good wine etc. at very reasonable prices.

VINDALOOOOOO! Super fine food, drink & most importantly, the service. Best place to dine in old Mtrl. Dollar for dollar best deal in the city. We come every time we go to Montreal. However, don't go there because I don't want to have to wait for a table!!! So great!!!

Very good food & service, but the environment is very noisy. It extremely hard to carry an conversation.
The decoration should be modified to integrate noise absorbing materials, such as carpeting & upholstery.

J'adore ce resto indien, c'est mon meilleur à Montréal; j'aime autant la bouffe que le service. J'aime bien l'ambiance aussi mais comme il est populaire, il y a toujours beaucoup de monde & c'est par conséquent bruyant. Mais il ne faut pas s'empêcher d'y aller pour autant.

nan bread was so salty so left restaurant with just the taste of salt in my mouth. Both curries ordered lacked sauce.

No great experience eating at this place but decor nice.

When first waiter asked whether everything was ok he didn't even wait for the answer.

Not a touch on the Indian Restaurants in the UK & certainly not worth the price tag.

Full marks for last waiter trying to rectifying the situation.

Had to ask twice for the bill.
