Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. This a lovely, clean, quiet & classy place for delicious Indian cuisine. The orices are reasonable for the Old Port area. Service is above & beyond.

Nous fréquentons cet excellent restaurant depuis plus de 20 ans.
Nous y avons fait notre dernière visite le 4 août.
Quel ne fut pas notre surprise de constater que l'on n'y servira plus d'alcool pour des motifs religieux……
Cette nouvelle politique est inacceptable pour nous.
Adieu Ghandi & merci pour ces belles années.

Nous avons fréquenté ce restaurant depuis plus de vingt ans.

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux de son propriétaire Farouk toujours souriant & disposé à nous recommander ses meilleurs plats,vins

Malheureusement , un virage est survenu & on ne verse plus une goutte d'alcool dans ce restaurant pour des raisons religieuses.

Pour nous un repas sans vin est triste .

Pour cette raison, avec regret, nous n'irons plus visiter notre ami Farouk. Surtout parce que c'est une décision dictée par Allah.

Merci pour ces belles années.

All the servers were so kind & helpful, they were very attentive to our needs. Our server Rafiqula was very kind to us as well. The service was also very quick, I appreciated how our water would be filled up by the servers quite often too. I would recommend the butter chicken with the regular naan as it was my favourite!
