Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. A great find on our first night in Montreal. Located on the gorgeous St Paul Street, the restaurant has a lovely feel, welcoming & friendly host & servers, & excellent food. We enjoyed a simple samosa entree followed by tandoori chicken & lamb korma. Great flavour, very decent portions - was more than enough for 2 pax. Highly recommend & having recently been in India, the food is authentic & reflective of Northern Indian cuisine. Thank you for having us!

Gandhi restaurant had such a cozy ambiance. With a prime location in Montreal's old port, I was really pleased with the food & the service. The restaurant owner Faruk was very welcoming & super entertaining. I'm definitely coming back here in the future!!

I had the chicken bhuna cari & mixed vegetable bajee with Palau rice in a beautiful & I can't to go back. If you like authentic Indian in a high end restaurant with a nice view & lot of privacy, this is the place. Thank you chef Ali!
