Step into Restaurant Gandhi and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal give way to the fragrant spices and the aromatic flavours of the Asian subcontinent. Traditional Indian music plays as you dine, providing a gentle serenade to accompany your meal.

Unlike most indian restaurants, you will feel like you're dining al fresco: soft light, bistro-style tables with crisp white lines, and the yellow walls with their window-like cubby holes recall a sunset over the Ganges half a world away. Gandhi engages all five senses to create a memorable dining experience. For those who prefer a take out, our team will be please to prepare your meal with the same touch of love!

We love Indian food & this place was ridiculously delicious. Our waiter had great suggestions. He even custom made me a mocktail that I won't forget. Great service, charming ambiance & amazing food. Highly recommend.

An excellent meal. Ample portions. I had a chicken dish & my wife had a vegetarian one. & coconut rice. Both of us had naan. Decor was nice, really appreciated the linen tablecloths.
Our only complaint was the lack of attention after the entree. Nobody came by to see if we wanted coffee & dessert until we finally caught someone's attention. Both pistachio cake & rice pudding were excellent, although the portion of cake was small. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service by Marc Antonio, nice location. Food was good, some dishes better than others. The beef madras was excellent, spicy & flavorful. Also really enjoyed the shrimp tandoori tilapia. The buttered chicken was dry & I did not like the sauce. Atmosphere is nice but not fancy

Soirée parfaite sur toute la ligne pour notre famille de deux adultes & deux enfants. De l'accueil au départ nous avons eu un service exceptionnel. Nous avons même appris comment se fait le pain nan! Tous les plats étaient délicieux. Les enfants ont adoré tout!

Super friendly staff & wonderful food. We came with three people who had never tried Indian Food- waiter was really helpful in directing us through an order that allowed us all to sample a variety of dishes. My only regret is I forgot to ask for the leftovers bag on my way out!

Food is really good. Our waiter was super nice but we ended up waiting more than 1 hour for our meal... & figuring out bills was a mess. We were told our drinks would be free to make up for the wait, but then we ended up having to pay for them because the owner didn't allow it... a couple of awkward moments overall. It's shame because the food is great. Might give the place another shot, we'll see...
