The food was delicious & the cocktails were refined, delicious, & graciously made by our amazing bartender Samuel. Would highly
recommend Freddi's to anyone visiting the old port or staying in the William Gray hotel, ask for Sam, you won't be disappointed!
If I lived near Old Town in Montreal, I would think twice about writing a review like this. Why? Because I've seen that undiscovered gems like this become hard to get a table once they are discovered. Still, this will be a place waiting for.
There is no doubt in my mind that Freddis will be increasing popular & a hit.
We were staying at the William Gray Hotel fie a few days & stumbled onto when looking around the lobby. They had just been open 3 weeks, & not too crowded, so we stopped in for a drink at the bar. The first two dishes, shashimi & a'traditional' crab roll, were incredibly good. From there we had more sushi rolls & a black cod dish that literally melts in your mouth.
Two talented mixologists served up perfect vesper martinis. Then - Ananel our bartender, served up a house original called the'Net-su' that you must try. Xavier, the manager & mixologist created this delightful concoction.
Super friendly & fast service from the bar & the kitchen. Great vibe- we had lots of fun.
There are a lot of fine restaurants in Montreal. But we decided to go back to Freddi's again the next night.
& on every return visit to Montreal.
Had a wonderfull time at this bar/restaurant during our stay at Wiliam Gray Hotel. The bartender was kind & pleasantly social. Great cocktails by the way!
Had a great time at the bar! Steven the bartender gave us great service & the drinks were delicious.
A friend & I were dining at the Freddi bar located in the Hotel William Grey in Old Montreal on July 4, 2026. We had the luck & pleasure of having Steven as our bartender! Steven was wonderful: very outgoing, friendly, interesting & made drinks to our liking & tastes. We were the last two patrons of the night & Steven kept the bar open as long as he could so that we could take our time & not rush.
It was a pleasure to meet Steven & I am so glad he was part of our Montreal experience!
Our bartender, Sam, made spectacular cocktails, was very friendly, & offered Great recommendations for a few appetizers that we enjoyed while at the bar. I highly recommend both the bar & the bartender.
