Franklin's Subs and Suds is located on St-Paul street in Old-Montreal. Delicious "Philly Cheesesteak" submarines are the main attraction. The decor is very comforting, you'll find arcades, beautifully designed graffiti and great ambient music.
Reviews describe a lively casual spot in the Old Port with strong drinks, quick service and a menu that shines on smoked meat sandwiches, poutine and burgers, delivering solid value and a welcoming vibe. The atmosphere ranges from cozy to energetic, aided by retro decor, music and a bar scene that makes it easy to hang out. The staff are described as attentive and friendly, providing fast service and helpful recommendations. While experiences are mostly positive, some notes mention crowding, noise and occasional variability in dishes such as the poutine. Overall Franklin's is seen as a reliable choice for lunch or a casual night out in Montreal, offering memorable smoked meat and good drinks with a lively social vibe.
Chicken poutine I had was stellar. Service was subpar with our waiter being a little bit lacking. Atmosphere was great but could use some variety in music while dining.

Went here for dinner on our first visit to Old Montreal. Great atmosphere & stellar food!!! The music could've been a little lower for better conversation, though...but an all around good experience.
JF is a wonderful bar tender! It is our first visiting Montreal & we decided to stop in for some drinks. He was super friendly & kind! Wonderful experience!

Stopped in here while visiting Montreal & this place is amazing! Tristen shook us up some espresso martinis & they are to die for. Definitely worth checking this place out! I'll definitely be back
the subs look amazing & the burgers were tasty. I got a bacon hot dog, price was good ($3 - 4.50). Great place to hang out, not too loud but have a lot of tvs playing different sports. Only thing was they have no AC so it was HOT inside.
Such. A. Fun. Place. My husband & I came to Montreal for a long weekend. The first day here we were exploring the area & stopped in for quick drink....2 hours later we headed back out. Bartender Jean Francois was a great source of yummy drinks & area info for things/places to check out while here in Montreal. After a full day sightseeing the next day we dropped in for a drink before heading out for dinner. Jean Francois was heading out of work, so he turned us over to Mackenzie who did not disappoint. We came back again today for a drink & lunch after our cruise on the St Lawrence River. Good food, good company & a great resource for local info.
