The restaurant was dirty, we got seated after waiting for so long. The waitress, floor I think didn't even wipe the table properly, their napkin dispenser had mustard all over it & food all over the chairs. We still gave it a chance despite how nasty the restaurant was. We ordered the fried chicken poutine & the fries were burnt. The'fried chicken' was just some nuggets chopped up. Probably one of the worst poutines we had. The virgin drinks were okay. We were never given any attention by our server Floor & in the end she acted out so rudely when we decided not to tip because we had a horrible experience. If you expect a tip maybe do your job better.

We waited for a while at the wait to be seated sign without any kind of acknowledgment. We eventually had to ask someone if we could be seated & they then pointed to a table so we sat down & proceeded to wait another 15 minutes where we were given a menu but no one ever came back to take our order. Not even for a drink or to let us know they would be with us as soon as they could. Eventually we gave up & left which is too bad as we were looking forward to trying the place. Understandable they were busy but some kind of acknowledgment or even a single sentence to us would have been appreciated

Awesome bar in Old Montreal. Came in to catch some World Cup while on vacation & loved the food, drinks, & vibe. Best poutine of our trip as well.

Franklin's was recommend to me at another bar for the good vibes & good food when you're enjoying the nightlife in Old Montreal. It lived up to the recommendation as the food was great & the vibes were amazing! The mesh of fun & retro styles works so well, making Franklin's welcoming & wonderful to spend a few hours drinking & eating.

Our server Kevin was amazing & so accommodating as he dealt with the busy bar on a Saturday night during a playoff game! He gave great drink recommendations & made sure we were taken care of & made sure we had everything we needed/wanted! He was so incredible as we watched the chaos of a night while in Montreal.

I completely recommend going when you're around Old Montreal anytime during the day but night especially! Great drunk food, amazing staff & generally wonderful vibes from Franklins!

Excellent drinks & food, smoked meat was fatty which we loved, as it's brisket & it's gotta have that jiggle. Would definitely return.

Awesome bar for drinks & hockey nights. Theo was an absolute rockstar - He was attentive, upbeat, made the whole experience even better. Hands?down one of the best servers we've had.

Nothing fancy, but a fun, small place. We visited during the May 2026 long weekend on a hockey game night. That was fun!

The smoked meat sandwich was very good & it had a lot of meat. Tried their Philly cheesesteak & it was ok, very heavy for my taste, but my partner liked it. Also had the fried onion rings & it was a very big portion. Heavy deep fried too, couldn't finish it all.
Overall, it was a fun experience, decent prices for both food & drinks. Like what you'd expect in a non-fancy sports bar.
We'd come back!

Phenomenal atmosphere, food, & vibes. The smash burger was so good I couldn't get a photo before it was finished & the wings were cooked perfectly. This place is a hidden gem. Great drinks & the servers, bartender, & manager will give great service & recommendations for local spots. Best smash burger in Montreal from someone who is very picky on burgers.

Amazing place to go. The bartender Jeff & server treated us amazing. Drinks were great & poutine was way better than any other touristy locations!
