Franklin's Subs and Suds is located on St-Paul street in Old-Montreal. Delicious "Philly Cheesesteak" submarines are the main attraction. The decor is very comforting, you'll find arcades, beautifully designed graffiti and great ambient music.

Service, food, & atmosphere were all incredible!!! Definitely will be coming back when I visit Montreal in the future. Shoutout to our server Jeff, he was amazing 10/10 service. I ordered the regular smoked meat sandwich. The meat was juicy snd delicious, the sourdough bread was freshly baked, the pickle had a nice crunch, & the mustard gave a nice acidic kick! Mouthwatering is definitely an understatement! As someone who takes pride in the food they eat, I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Montreal to come to this gem of a restaurant.
Visiting Montreal for an Orchestra tour, had a local recommend Franklin's & it lived up to expectation! The service was fast, atmosphere was fun, & food was amazing. Our server, Jeff was very kind & welcoming, & overall we had an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend.

let me preface this by saying we came here with our toddler which, from the pictures & reviews, seemed like it would be fine. none of the pictures showed the giant wall covered in playboy magazines 😬 add in that the music was BLASTING & they don't have high chairs, we had to eat & run as quickly as possible. suffice it to say we're not the target audience for this environment, a younger crowd may enjoy it more. I don't fault the restaurant for this, just good to know.
the food was fairly good. my husband really enjoyed his smash burger & I liked the poutine, though it was veryyyyy salty. the hoagie was… not great. it really wasn't a hoagie, I didn't know what to make of the meat that was on it, it was almost like bacon but not. it was also pretty sparse. service was not super friendly but not bad. overall, wouldn't come back but don't not recommend.
Un excellent ambiance avec de la nourriture excellente aussi. La petite borne d'arcade avec Donkey Kong ma aussi amener à cet avis. Je recommande fortement & j'espère y revenir un jour!
We were exploring old Montreal & came across Franklin's, decided to go in for smoked meat sandwiches, because you just gotta.
Franklin's has a really good vibe inside - cool retro décor & good music that makes it a nice place to hang out. Service was great: friendly staff & very quick, which we appreciated.
Food-wise, it was mixed. The smoked meat was just okay & quite fatty, which took away from it, & not much flavour. Fries were tasty & probably the highlight. The poutine, however, was also just okay & didn't really stand out.
Overall, nothing was bad, but nothing impressed enough to recommend it either. I wouldn't tell people to stay away, but I wouldn't go out of my way to suggest it.
Our server Tasnime was so sweet, kind & attentive. The food is great (especially the burgers) & the people are so kind! Highly recommend for a chill night out
Absolutely Love! Was recommended as my tour guide's favourite poutine spot in Old Montreal, & while I didn't get that, their Smash Burger did not disappoint at all! Highly recommend!

J'ai mangé chez Franklin's au Vieux-Port de Montréal & j'ai vraiment adoré mon expérience. La nourriture était délicieuse, bien présentée & pleine de saveurs. Chaque plat semblait préparé avec soin.
L'ambiance était tout aussi remarquable : chaleureuse, accueillante & parfaite pour passer un bon moment, que ce soit entre amis, en couple ou en famille. Le service était également très attentionné.
Je recommande fortement Franklin's si vous cherchez un endroit où bien manger tout en profitant d'une belle atmosphère au coeur du Vieux-Port. J'y retournerai sans hésiter !

Franklin's claims to have the best smoked meats in town. I can't confirm or deny this claim as I haven't tried elsewhere, but this place certainly sets the bar high. Would highly recommend for lunch if you're in the area as it also comes with great service.
