The Indian Tradition food makes its way to Montreal.  The tasty fusion of Indian puff bread along with mix-vegetable curry & serve with lots of Deliciousness.  An authentic dish that fulfils your stomach as well as satisfies your heart.  Indians are crazy on this dish, & definitely rocking the Montreal streets with the same intensity.  A taste that you'll never forget, The Food from India- Undhiyu Puri

We were quite disappointed with the overall service experience. Despite the meal being advertised as unlimited, we were repeatedly asked how many rotis we wanted-even after being told to wait three times. It felt more like a rationed meal than an unlimited one. One staff member even mentioned we should request items five minutes in advance, which made the whole experience feel rushed & uncomfortable.

We traveled from Ontario & can confidently say this kind of'unlimited' system wouldn't be acceptable there. We waited nearly 20 minutes for an undhiyu refill, by which time some of us had already finished eating. To add to the frustration, the customer service was impolite & dismissive.

That said, the food itself had some highlights-sev tameta & odo were excellent. However, the dal & other curries were served cold & lacked flavor.

At $22 per person, the experience simply didn't match the value. Unfortunately, it fell well below average in terms of both service & overall satisfaction.View more

We had a wonderful experience at Foodine Restaurant! If you're craving authentic Gujarati thali, this is the place to be. The food felt just like home-flavorful, fresh, & full of love.

The baingan bharta was perfectly spiced, the undhiyu rich & comforting, & the mango ras was simply divine. We also loved the Surati pattice-crispy on the outside & bursting with flavor inside.

There was a wide variety of dishes, & each one had that special homemade touch. The staff was warm & welcoming, making our family outing even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy real Gujarati food in a cozy, family-friendly setting. We'll definitely be back!View more

Every dish I've tried has reminded me of true Indian street-style cooking, & their shakes are flavorful & delicious.

If you're craving Indian street food with great taste & quality, I highly recommend stopping by Foodine Restaurant.View more

We visited this restaurant today & had such a satisfying experience! We ordered the Masala Chai, Surati Thali, & Kathiyawadi Thali-& both thalis came with unlimited refills, which made it great value for the price (around $22 per thali).

Between the two thalis, we got to enjoy 8-10 different curries, along with poori, roti, & bajra roti-all freshly made & flavorful. Everything tasted homely & authentic, but a few items truly stood out for me:
• Aamras
• Undhiyu
• Kadhai Paneer

If you're craving real Gujarati or Kathiyawadi flavors, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Tried the Surti Thali at Food One, Montréal - & it was absolutely delicious!
Authentic Gujarati flavors, generous portions, & a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, & savory dishes. Tasted just like a home-cooked meal. Highly recommend it - a must-try for anyone craving gujarati comfort food!

Initially the service was very slow & we had to wait for almost half an hour. But once I tasted the thali I felt it was worth waiting. Just a heads up that it would be very crowded on weekends.View more

Foodine Restaurant truly brings the diverse flavors of India to Canada! I tried their makke di roti with sarson da saag, & it was absolutely heavenly. The saag was rich, perfectly spiced, & paired wonderfully with the fresh, hot makke di roti topped with a dollop of butter. I also sampled their undhiyu, which was a delightful mix of flavors & spices-just like a Gujarati winter specialty should be. To finish the meal, their chai was the perfect touch, aromatic & brewed to perfection. The attention to detail, freshness, & authentic taste make Foodine a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian vegetarian cuisine!View more

Foodine Restaurant is one of my top choices whenever I'm craving authentic Kathiyawadi & Indian street food. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & I appreciate that it's a purely vegetarian establishment without compromising on flavor. Their unlimited Surti thali is a personal favorite, & the mango ras is a must-try-it's absolutely delicious. I recently tried their Handvo & Dabeli & indo chinese items, & I was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal! Bring your friends & family & enjoy delicious meal.View more

Absolutely loved the variety at Foodine! Their phulka rotis were soft & light, the perfect partner for their rich curries. I had the kadhai paneer & dal fry tadka, & everything was bursting with flavor. The pav bhaji was another highlight-the bhaji was rich & buttery, & the pav was just right. The food tastes so authentic, it's like a trip back to India. Definitely one of the best spots for vegetarian Indian food in Canada!View more

This place is heaven for lovers of Indian food! I came for the bajri rotla & phulka rotis, & it was the hidden gem which served everything fresh. Both were incredibly fresh & soft, & the rotla paired perfectly with the ringna no olo (roasted eggplant). The flavors were authentic, & the quality of ingredients was evident. Their street food selection is incredible too-especially the chaat. It's hard to find authentic flavors like this in Canada, but Foodine delivers. Highly recommend! Ps: It felt like i took a trip back to india. I am so gonna visit Foodine (Montreal) again.View more

Ekdum Mast che !! Foodine Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Gujarati cuisine, showcasing the flavors of traditional Indian vegetarian dishes. The restaurant provides a warm, inviting ambiance with friendly staff & prompt service. The waitress knew her menu very well. She even suggested tons of edits & suggested offers as per elders Swami Narayan menu. The menu features a variety of Gujarati specialties like undhiyu, dhokla, kadhi, & thepla, all prepared with a balance of spices & fresh ingredients. The thali options are a highlight, offering a complete meal experience with a variety of small dishes, perfect for those who want to sample multiple flavors in one sitting. Portions are VERY generous so be mindful.View more

We recently dined at Foodine in downtown Montreal, & it was an unforgettable experience. This cozy little restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots, especially for their authentic Gujarati cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reminded me of home. The staff was incredibly friendly & attentive, making sure every detail of my dining experience was perfect. The food, however, was the star of the show. Every dish was bursting with flavors that took me back to my roots. The Gujarati thali was a highlight, with its delightful combination of savory, sweet, & tangy elements, just like my grandmother used to make. Each bite was a nostalgic journey, & I could tell that the chefs put a lot of love & care into their cooking. In addition to the thali, the dhokla & thepla were simply outstanding. They were fresh, perfectly seasoned, & paired beautifully with the chutneys. It's rare to find such authentic Gujarati food outside of India, & Foodine truly excels in bringing the flavors of Gujarat to Montreal. Overall, Foodine is a gem in the heart of downtown Montreal. It's a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine, especially if you're looking for that special taste of home. I highly recommend it & can't wait to return for another delicious meal.View more

When in Montreal & you crave Vegetarian Indian food, you should visit Foodine Restaurant at Queen Mary! The Restaurant is a delightful gem for anyone seeking authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine, especially those with a taste for Gujarati, Kathiyawadi, & Indian chaat items. The ambiance is warm & inviting, adorned with traditional Indian decor that sets the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. The two highlights were: 1) Kadhai Paneer: One of the highlights of Foodine's menu is their Kadhai Paneer. The paneer is exceptionally fresh & tender, cooked to perfection with a robust blend of spices. The dish is a medley of vibrant flavors, with bell peppers & onions adding a delightful crunch. The gravy is rich & flavorful, perfectly balancing the spicy & tangy notes. It's a must-try for anyone who appreciates a well-executed classic. 2) Shahi Paneer: The Shahi Paneer at Foodine lives up to its regal name. This dish is a creamy, luscious concoction that is both indulgent & satisfying. The paneer cubes are soft & soak up the rich, nutty gravy beautifully. The sauce, made with cashews & cream, is delicately spiced, making it a smooth & rich delight without being overpowering. It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy creamy, mildly spiced curries. Beyond these standout dishes, Foodine offers an impressive variety of other vegetarian delights. Their Gujarati & Kathiyawadi offerings are authentic & flavorful, capturing the essence of regional Indian cuisine. The street food section of the menu is equally commendable, featuring popular items like Pani Puri & Dahi Puri, Samosa, etc., which are prepared with great care & taste just like the ones you'd find in bustling Indian markets. The service at Foodine is prompt & courteous, with staff members who are knowledgeable & passionate about the food they serve. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, the staff are eager to help guide your choices to ensure a delightful experience. In conclusion, Foodine Restaurant is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to savor the rich & diverse flavors of vegetarian Indian cuisine. Their Kadhai Paneer & Shahi Paneer are particularly exceptional, making it a place worth visiting multiple times. With its authentic dishes, welcoming ambiance, & excellent service, Foodine is a top pick for vegetarian food lovers.View more

I had always ordered from them online but had never visited this place in person. Food: We ordered the premium thali with Undhiyu, Daal, roti, rice, bengan bharta. They were all fresh & delicious. The bengan bharta had a strong smokey flavor which my friend loved. The am ras & basundi were great too. It was my first time having basundi & am ras so I have nothing to compare it to. But it was tasty. Service: Quick & pleasant. Ambiance: Relaxing, calm & a clean resto! Will be back!View more

Located in basement. Small sized. Limited seating.

This is on a weekday evening, dinner. I'm the first followed by people for dinner.

I tried chole bature & was disappointed because the chole was lacking flavor & the poori became crunchy.

Service was alright, serving time was okay.

It was just an okay experience for me.
