About

Faros focuses on the authentic preparation of Mediterranean seafood and traditional Greek culinary staples. Patrons encounter a selection of whole grilled fish seasoned simply with lemon, olive oil, and wild oregano to highlight natural flavors. The kitchen utilizes imported ingredients to maintain structural integrity across classic spreads, grilled octopus, and crispy calamari. Fresh vegetables and briny feta feature prominently in salads served alongside charcoal-grilled meats and hearth-baked pita. The interior environment emphasizes functional simplicity to mirror the coastal origins of its primary menu offerings. This establishment prioritizes the direct presentation of quality proteins and seasoned produce, ensuring each element remains grounded in regional preparation techniques. The culinary approach centers on high-heat grilling methods and balanced seasoning to deliver a consistent experience for those seeking traditional Hellenic seafood dishes.

While the majority of visitors highlight the amazing service and warm, inviting atmosphere as essential parts of their experience, some occasional inconsistencies in meal presentation and service delivery are noted. Wife & I just celebrated our anniversary here.
we started with some Proseco, & had a Greek Salad with a side of Crab Cakes which were decadent. My main course was the lamb chops, grilled to perfection & wife had the grilled shrimp. Both dishes came with rice & vegetables.
For dessert, we finished of with Loukoumades for two & they were so good I ordered another single portion.
We spent three & a half hours there, they do not rush you, & the service is excellent.
The staff go out of their way for you. I had developed a headache while there & the waiter made sure I got some Tylenol.
Benny (the owner & chef) has a good thing going!

Fabulous meal at this very charming restaurant. Service was very attentive & friendly. Fresh ingredients with delicious flavours. The Greek salad was colourful, tasty & plentiful. We enjoyed our experience very much. Will definitely be back & sharing our positive experience with friends.
In a time where some restaurants tend to disappoint on menu items or service, this was a very welcomed moment!

Fantastic every time, the food is always perfect, impeccable service & it is never too noisy. They even have some outside seating now. They are the best greek seafood restaurant in the city. Better than Milos!

The best seafood restaurant! Unbelievable how good everything is! Staring with the Greek salad... Amazing flavor of the tomatoes, cucumbers, onions & delicious Feta cheese 😋 The fish of the day is fresh fish. We enjoyed the fresh Red Snapper & I choose the Chilean sea bass, it was amazing!!!. We also ordered the octopus dish, it was so tender & delicious!! For appetizers we enjoyed the spinach in filo pastry , fried zucchini & eggplant & the tzatziki !!! Very good!! Fresh bread with olive oil & vinegar mmmmmmm good! so good!!! We would highly recommend this restaurant. When you are in Montreal, take the time & have dinner here. You will not be disappointed. The chef truly understands Greek cuisine & all the flavors !! I lived in Greece for almost 3 years & Faros Restaurant Hits it out of the park. Hands down !If you love fresh seafood this is the place you want ! The service is very friendly & accommodating. There are enough tables but making a reservation on a busy weekend is highly recommended. Enjoy!

Still one of those secrets gems in Montreal for Greek food. Fresh, tasty delicious food. Small restaurant with great ambiance. The staff was always around to take care of of us. Great Greek wine selection too.

The food:
I ordered black sea bass & it was not tasty at all.
Also Greek salad was too bad (some sort of BIG tomatoes & that's it!) & not tasty.

Amount:
It was supposed to be 2.2lb but it was like 1lb or less! I went for dinner & i was hungry after restaurant, so i ate at home (I am not fat at all). I paid 60$ for nothing!

Service:
I was waiting very long time for food.
At last, since i was not satisfied, i paid low amount of tip. The waiter was too rude & asked me to change the bill!! so then i did it.

I went there on a Sunday night with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Couldn't have chosen a better place! We started with a huge greek salad & a delicious grilled octopus. For main course, we followed our waiter's suggestion & had swordfish & lambchops; the plates were delicious except for the side of steamed vegetables that my wife & I didn't really care for.
When done, the owner of the place was kind enough to send us dessert for our celebration. Nice people, great food.
