Really great random find for me & really enjoyed the place. This is the one of the most classic north American diners to go to & has food to fit it, I had the double cheese burger with sweet potato fries & was very much satisfied in one serving. Would highly recommend this place & looking forward to go again.
Pleasant service, smoked meat sandwich hit the spot late night, slightly toasting the bread would help it from falling apart though. Played Backstreet Boys & some other old hits I love.

Table next to us two annoying women discussing the difference of late & cappuccino to the patient waitress. Come for classics! Iam german visiting Montreal & came across this hidden gem. In the street corner beeing surrounded by fast food chains this old school diner has survived. Classic atmosphere, tons to choose. Burger Royale, Mex hot dog & strawberry milkshake. Iam rolling out of here. Very happy.
J'ai grandi sur le Plateau. Le Fameux a toujours été dans ma vie, à toutes les époques. J'aime son côté unique. Il y a les habitués. Il y a les touristes pour qui ça demeurent un incontournable. & il y a des occasionnels comme moi, qui viennent pour une pizz, un club ou une lasagne, pendant que je refais le monde en prenant tout mon temps. Avec des amis, en bonne compagnie.
Je souhaite porter à votre attention une situation préoccupante survenue dans votre établissement le dimanche 22 février, vers 11 h.
Au départ, tout se déroulait très bien. Toutefois, à l'arrivée d'une serveuse qui débutait son quart de travail à 11 h, l'atmosphère a changé. Cette employée s'est mise à dénigrer notre serveuse à plusieurs reprises, & ce, sans raison apparente. Son attitude était particulièrement désagréable & inappropriée, ce qui a créé un profond malaise.
De plus, elle a menacé notre serveuse de ne pas la faire travailler la semaine suivante. Nous supposons qu'elle occupe un poste de gestion ou de supervision pour pouvoir tenir de tels propos. Ce type de comportement nous semble inacceptable & contraire aux normes de travail ainsi qu'aux valeurs de respect attendues dans un milieu professionnel.
Nous tenions à vous en informer afin que la situation puisse être vérifiée & prise en charge adéquatement.

Service toujours très sympathique. Le seul point négatif, c'est que quand tu es seul, on te donne une petite table à 2. L'ennui c'est que quand tu mesures 6'4'', t'as tout le temps le genou coincé à cause de la barre transversale sous ces petites tables. Je songe à y aller ce soir, mais je ne sais pas s'ils pourront m'accommoder...
If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have ordered that poutine. Was just bad. The taste of the sauce, the texture of fries. Waitress was cool tho & nice atmosphere on a winter evening.
Food was average, at best. Ordered the special submarine & it didn't have much stuff in it. Meat was quite dry & cheese was rather sparse.But it was loaded to fresh lettuce to fill it up. We all know that trick & I won't be falling for it again.
Service was good & the old-school diner vibe was fun.
This place has potential.. however the server(guy) was a bit rude & impatient. Sort of ruined our experience lol. The chairs are also a little uncomfortable as there is little to no leg space. Overall, if you want a quick bite, go to a&w across the street 🤗

Une employée s'est montrée impolie & a fait preuve d'un manque total de professionnalisme & de courtoisie. Je voulais lui poser une question, mais elle s'est mise à me crier dessus sans même m'écouter.
Absolument terrible
L'employé(e) auquel je fais référence est celui/celle qui travaillait au service client aujourd'hui à 19h50.
La pire poutine que j'ai goûté de ma vie. Elle été tout simplement exécrable.
Les frites congelées, sauce degalace & vieux fromage.
Le serveur été mal polie & prétentieux.
Le restaurant est mal fréquenté & pas propre.

Food is pretty subpar. I don't come here for the food - although, the submarine tout garni was actually good. The poutine, meh. The gyro is pretty good.
I mainly come here because it's the only place that's open so late & when I'm in the area with friends & we want to grab food & it's 10:30pm & we're a medium sized group, we end up here. The lady who works there, Sonya, is also great, she holds the fort down & works hard & is always pleasant.
The fries are good though. Milkshakes too. The steamies are good, sometimes I find it tastes too bland though they say they use Lester's. The poutine was also pretty abysmal. & when I think QC diner, I think good basic standard poutine. Not here. I haven't had their breakfast but that's probably fine & a safe bet because, their potatoes are probably good, eggs is hard to mess up & you have salt & pepper.
Première fois dans ce restaurant… le service était plutôt bien mais après ce souper, autant vous dire que j'ai mal au ventre & que je suis déçu de ma poutine. Les frites n'étaient tout simplement pas bonne, & la sauce était trop gélatineuse. Le prix était beaucoup trop élever pour la qualité du produit. De plus, il n'y avait aucune ambiance, même pas de musique.
Everything on the menu is delicious! Breakfast items can be ordered whenever you want in this cozy little deli :) If needing food or just a place to sit back & relax over coffee/tea late evenings...this is the place to go!
