Overall, Falafel St-Jacques is seen as a standout vegetarian and Middle Eastern spot with fresh, flavorful falafel and a wide vegan friendly menu including shawarma, shish taouk, pitas and a bakery selection of desserts; portions are generous and many reviewers call it among the best falafel experiences in the area, with some even listing it as the best in Montreal; the service is repeatedly described as warm, friendly and attentive, creating a homey feel that encourages return visits; the atmosphere is casual and grab and go with limited seating, though parking can be challenging in busy times; while a few notes mention higher prices for the size or occasional takeout timing issues near closing, the overall impression emphasizes consistent freshness, variety and hospitality; the place is described as a hidden gem for authentic Israeli and Middle Eastern flavors, appealing to both vegans and non vegans and frequently recommended for visitors and locals alike.
We've had a family lunch ( adults + kids). The dishes were very generous it was enough for adult & definitely more than enough for the kids. The personal was very friendly & polite. The place looks very clean. I definitely will come back again.

Some of the best falafel I have had. I recommend getting something with salad because they had a lot of options, & you could choose two with the sandwich. The tabouli was very fresh, & the quinoa salad was nice. For meat the Jerusalem mix was good too, & the fries were crispy. I recommend the tahini & spicy sauce, which wasnt very spicy anyways. The staff were kind & helpful, love the guy who did some fancy spins as he wrapped up our sandwiches.
Best falafel & best babaganoush literally ever. The pita is addictive. Don't even consider going anywhere else. If you want falafel you want to go to this place.
My favorite gluten free option. The owner is sooo friendly & the food is amazing. Vegan & gluten friendly options !!!! Highly recommend this neighbourhood gem !
The best! Simply the best! Just like visiting a falafel place in Wadi Nisnas, except for Fafael St Jacques offers way more toppings, salads, & so on. The only downside is that it's too far of a drive from Ottawa, otherwise I would've been eating there every day :)
