Client depuis plusieurs années. Quand j'y vais c'est toujours à l'heure du midi. Jamais eu de mauvaise expérience. Les plats sont excellent. La propriétaire est super conviviale. Je suis personnellement accro à la dumpling soupe 😊.
Red Star is such a gem. We live downtown, so coming to this part of the city felt like discovering a totally different Montreal. Prices are amazing for how good the food is.
The two servers were so nice (one was in training & still did great). We had the hot & spicy soup & it was honestly way better than expected. & the dumplings?? WOW - they're the star for a reason.

Very tasty & flavorful food. Nice piece of chicken in the the general tao. The beef noodle also yummy. We had also pork dumplings & they very good as well.
We've ordered pan fried pork dumplings, boiled dumplings & 4 noodles. Noodles were great, boiled dumplings were okay, pan fried dumplings were not good. I didn't like it at all.
Water in washroom was really cold, hot water wasn't working. Washroom was clean.
I love this place. They make their own dumplings fresh, & there's a great veggie option too. The service is super fast, the staff are friendly, & the prices are great.
I come here like every week, at the same spot, & every time I bring a new friend here, they say they will definitely come back. The noodles & dumplings are just the best !!!!! homemade food like this doesn't show up quite often in Montreal . Miss Fang always greets me with a smile that makes me feel like home!! Xxx 10/10
À ce jour, c'est les meilleurs dumplings que j'ai mangé à Montréal. On y va une fois par mois environ. Les prix sont plus qu'abordables, surtout compte tenu de la qualité.

Excellent dumpling! Nous avons essayé ceux au porc, crevette & agneau, tout était délicieux! Prix très abordables en plus.

Highly recommend! The food is so, so good (we had dumplings & noodles, & the vinegar sauce was exactly as it should be), & the portions are generous. The ladies who served us were really nice & the restaurant looks great.

If I could give them 20 stars, I would. The server was so nice to us, the food was delicious. We got the pork & green onions in sweet & sour soup dumplings. Easily the best dumplings I've ever had in my life. The soup tasted unlike anything I've ever had before, it was so good, I'll never say this enough. I could only eat half the bowl, I brought the rest home with me & had it the next day. It was just as good, if not, much better. It's like meeting a celebrity & shaking their hand & not wanting to wash your hand because they touched it, I almost don't want to rinse my tongue from the richness of all of these flavours.
Expérience magique d'ascension vers le ciel. Quand je meurs, je veux servir de garniture à des dumplings exactement comme ceux-là, être mélangée aux épices & aux oignons verts, enveloppée dans la pâte mince, refermée soigneusement à la main, déposée dans un cuiseur vapeur en bambou, puis incorporée à leur soupe aigre-douce de création presque divine, je veux tourner dans l'estomac de mes ami.es comme ces dumplings ont tourné dans le mien.
We stumbled upon this place & decided to try it out. It was completely empty. The cashier was very courteous & greeted us. While we were using Google Translate to read the menu, a woman (who I assume is the owner & cook) noticed we were tourists & came out personally to translate & explain the menu to us. She said,'Everyone who comes here says that we have the best dumplings.' Spoiler alert: she was absolutely & undeniably 100% correct.
We ordered the kimchi, crushed cucumber salad, fried shrimp, & pork & coriander dumplings in broth. While the first three were amazing, the real showstopper was the dumplings. The dumplings were incredibly juicy & fresh, & the broth complemented the dumplings perfectly. We devoured the dumplings & had to convince ourselves not to order more. It was THAT good! It's quite literally the best dumplings we've ever had. We're seriously considering coming back tomorrow. Thanks so much for such a delicious meal!
This is usually the place we go to when looking for a quick & good takeout in the area. Dumplings are always good, either fried or steamed.
Noodles were fine when I tried, & in good quantity.
Definitely recommend.
