Perfect option for children & non-Indians. The palak paneer was okay but lacked flavour. Pappadams & a small bowl of delicious carrot salad are served before ordering. No Thalis on the menu.View more
I'm Indian so usually I avoid Indian restaurants because I make it better, but this spot came closest to the goodness I brew in my kitchen. The vibes were tight, the food just right, served with smiles even though I was not being the best customer. Great authentic Indian cuisine, ask for their mango achar, a pickled spicy mango delicacy served to pair in small amount, with each bite. They have the good stuff. This is a magnificent Indian restaurant, very proud to have witnessed it myself. They do it well, maybe even the best.View more
Extremely good & great staff. I am a client for well over 20 years. Tried a lot of Indian restaurants in the Montreal area & this one is fantastic. Also, over the years its always exactly the same taste close to perfection. The butter chicken is THE BEST around but it worth trying many other plates too. I no longer live close by but I do make a detour to go pick up myself (not with delivery app).View more

Id say "hidden gem" but it's not so hidden as it's always popping! Best Indian food in the city, always a wonderful experience. Staff are friendly & kind. love it here. Can't go wrong (Removed one star for atmosphere due to cleanliness/bugs)View more

Great food excellent service. I would say best Indian restaurant in townView more
Great Indian food in generous portions. Very affordable, too! My wife & I couldn't finish the food & we are big eaters btw.View more
We went there at 9:30. They close at 10, they were so friendly didn't rush us at all. We tried a mix of different dishes for 2 people. Everything was sooooo delicious, but butter chicken was another level!!! I am regretting why I didn't discover this place earlier! We brought the rest of it home & ate it for the next day lunch. It was giving us the same satisfaction! I cannot wait to go there again & try other dishes! I'm informing all my Indian food lover friends about this Chef's magic!View more
Came here with a friend. I wasn't impressed much but in general the food was ok & service was not bad. A typical Indian menu nothing special. The place can be cozy for some or a bit small for others. Their prices are a bit high considering the quality of food served. Parking can be a bit difficult. I recommend ordering a takeout rather than dine in.View more

Neighborhood resto. Not pretentious. Very reasonable prices. Attentive/fast service. Popular
Good Indian foodView more
This was the most disappointing Indian food I have ever eaten!! Ordered an expensive Tandoori shrimp dish that was more spicy than I asked for, & basically that was all you could taste! No other flavour profiles! Actually threw it in the garage! Yuck, yuck & yuck again.
I rarely write reviews. This was singularly the worst Indian food I have eaten anywhere in Montreal. Can't believe people keep coming back. Lukewarm dishes as bland an uninspiring as can be. Time to get a new chef . I used to come here years ago & t was great then... fresh, spicy & authentic......Never again! The only relief was the ongoing comedy with the waiter.who at one point disappeared outside to pick a few fresh chillies off a plant on the patio we requested. Hilarious!
I didn't have the highest of expectations because I had my favorite Indian restaurant that closed & had all their tasty flavors swirling in my head but this restaurant was AMAZING! I ordered through UberEats & the food was everything I was craving & more. Beautifully seasoned, fresh, tasty, well cooked & nice portions. Worth it from every perspective! My favorite dishes which I guarantee I'll be reordering (very likely again tonight haha), Onion Bhaji, Butter Chicken & the Shrimp Malai is drool worthy! Lamb Dansk is also good but a bit spicier than I can take. Biryani vegetable rice & naan bread just made the whole meal complete!
A really good kitchen!
The nan breads are big & delightful & you can request them a little crisper if you like them that way.
I have never been disappointed here in 3 years of loyal attendance.
Excellent preparation of traditional Indian dishes.
I believe it to be the best standard in Montreal.
Probably amongst the few Indian restaurants with authentic cuisine. The beef Vindaloo, the butter chicken, the naan bread, were simply delicious. Service was excellent. As always, dessert was on the house. Will definitely return with our friends.
My local Indian resto, that I've been going to for years now. The best in the neighbourhood with reliably good food, don't use MSG or other food additives so no stomach issues! Super friendly & know all their regulars. Good quality/quantity/price for takeout & their lunch specials are an amazing deal! Having tried 2 other Indians nearby over the years, but Etoile des Inde is the only one we frequent now. Highly recommend for eat in or takeout.
