Espresso Bar 1720 ressort comme un endroit où l'espresso est pris très au sérieux, avec des cafés riches et équilibrés et des viennoiseries fraîches comme le croissant pistache et le croissant à l'abricot qui font sensation, le bicerin bénéficiant aussi de bons retours; l'atmosphère est cosy et calme, propice au travail grâce au wifi et à l'espace sur deux niveaux avec une terrasse agréable, et la clientèle note que les chiens sont les bienvenus. Ouvert tôt, il est idéal pour démarrer la journée et pour des moments de travail ou de détente en petit comité. Des suggestions portent sur une offre salée plus variée et davantage de prises pour ordinateurs, ainsi que des heures d'ouverture un peu plus tard, mais l'ensemble est décrit comme une pépite locale pour son café de qualité et ses pâtisseries ainsi que pour son ambiance accueillante et chaleureuse.
Been somewhat a regular here since they opened. The owner really cares about quality, & it shows in the products. Coffee is more old school unlike the popular third wave coffee shops around Montreal, which makes this place more special, imo. It's also just really good coffee + Croissants are perfect. Since it's in a residential neighborhood where people don't hang much, it's usually not too crowded either, unlike downtown & other popular hype neighborhoods or even Monkland village. It's cozy & cute, overall highly recommend:))
Love stopping in here for coffee & a pastry every time I visit the area. Open early, fresh croissants, nice variety & delicious coffee. Loved the apricot croissant today. Simple & quality!
Great coffee for espresso lovers. From the same roaster as Mercanti cafe, it is another neighborhood gem. It also has wifi & space on two floors to bring your laptop. Great terrasse too.
Finally, I would like to highlight a specialty on the menu: Bicirin. An absolute must try, not too sweet.
Good vibes. The coffee is excellent, & the croissants were great too. I like the apricot one the best. I like this spot a lot, I just wish they were open later & had more plugs for lap tops. Other than that, great spot! 4.8 on 5
Fantastic coffee spot! I had a flat white with a double shot-perfectly brewed & beautifully balanced. Even though we arrived close to closing time, the staff welcomed us warmly & were super friendly. If you're in the area & craving a great cup of coffee, this place is a must-visit. The ambiance is lovely, with a cozy outdoor seating area to soak up the sun. :)
Espresso Bar 1720 has a really nice seating area-great for studying or getting some work done. The vibe is calm & cozy, which I appreciated. I ordered an iced cappuccino, but it didn't have any foam, & when I asked, I was told that's just how they make it. I wouldn't go with high expectations for the coffee or food. It's more about the space than the drinks.

Espresso Bar 1720 is, without a doubt, my favorite coffee spot in town-& it's all thanks to Nicola's coffee. One sip & you're instantly transported to the beaches of Mergellina, with the sea breeze & Italian sunshine almost within reach. It's more than just a coffee; it's a full experience.
But the magic doesn't stop there. Every detail here is done with care-from the beautifully made pastries to the cozy & welcoming environment that makes you want to linger. You can tell there's passion behind everything.
The staff is absolutely top-notch: friendly, attentive, & always ready to offer great advice or explain something with a smile.
Espresso Bar 1720 isn't just a café-it's a little daily escape to Italy. Highly recommended!
I go there at least once a week! Staff is so friendly. Their coffee is amazing (please try their pistachio cappuccino!) & they allow dogs inside. Which is so kind & let me have a solo time with my book & my Frenchie! I highly recommend. So so so good!
