Je suis venu ce soir je ne savais pas quoi manger. Mais j'ai eu un service IMPECCABLE!!! J'adore cette place l'ambiance, le bon service tout à été PARFAIT pour moi ainsi que pour mes collègues. Bravo à la serveuse qui se nomme Darling car ce fut #1.
I got recommended by a group of friends a few weeks ago & I finally went today amazing team every single one of the waitress were super helpful & gave great customer service.

Découvert par le biais d'une recommandation, j'ai passé un très bon moment que ça soit en terme gustatif ou en même d'ambiance, avec des échanges forts intéressants. De court passage en solo à Montréal, j'ai même eu la chance d'avoir des recommandations d'activités à faire par Amélie, encore merci. C'est donc naturellement 5/5 pour moi !
Rarely do I write a review, but when the food is this good I just have to! The flavors on every dish was extraordinary, & the service/staff were excellent & warm. Hector & Yonah really made our night.
We were sat outside for 30 minutes without receiving any water or contact with someone. We kept trying to flag down a waitress who continued to ignore us. We were about to leave until Catherine, a wonderful waitress, noticed us & came over. If it wasn't for Catherine, we would have left & never come back. I don't know where Catherine ranks at this restaurant but she should be given a promotion for being so aware & accommodating.
Honestly, one of my favourite places to go have a drink or to eat in the Montreal area. Sometimes, I even go on my own to have a nice & relaxed meal. Also, they make me feel at home over there. Yona & Quique, who are always managing the bar (among others), make amazing cocktails, & it is super fun to have a chat with. 100% recommended! :-)
J'aurais du connaître ce restaurant plus tôt! L nourriture est vraiment bonne la guacamole épicé pour entré & les tacos W.O.W En plus du service très chaleureux de Darling. Je recommence fortement!

This is for the people that have not yet tried this place because you wouldn't even bother looking at the review if you already went.. 1. Service, amazing. The staff always welcome you with warmth & kindness not once have I gone there & felt the same experience it's always better then the previous one 2. The food?! An explosion of flavours that will leave you asking for more before you even finish the plate. I often surprised myself ordering a second plate to go. 3. The vibe, delightful, good music, everyone is in a good mood it's as if your not even in a restaurant. Now If you other options I can tell you right now go ahead & cancel them they'll still be there ESCONDITE is the place to be. - shout out the staff y'all are a great team
I have been here countless times since I opened up a business a few doors down a year ago. Escondite is one of the last bastions of quality food at affordable prices downtown. Add in excellent service, great atmosphere, & a nice terrace. What more can you want? Yona in particular stands out. He goes the extra mile every time - management take note! My favourites are the tuna tostada & the fish tacos. The mango salad is also really nice.
Je ne donne que 3 étoiles car ils refusent l'argent comptant. Quand j'ai demandé pourquoi, on m'a répondu qu'on ne le savait pas. Je n'irai plus, car je m'oppose à la CDBC. Bonne bouffe, service correct.
