Escondite was amazing! 10/10 would definitely recommend! I am from NYC & we have some great restaurants & this place was better than a lot of places back home. Services was amazing atmosphere & vibe was like a restaurant in soho. The dish that stood out to me the most was the tuna tostada. The flavors were extremely well balanced, unlike any other tuna dish I've ever had. I probably could have had 3 of those & been happy. We tried almost every single taco on the menu & nothing was bad, The nachos were also amazing. My favorite was the Birria & the Pollo Hermonos. Cocktails extremely well balanced! The waitress told us we picked all the best tacos ha! Will definitely be visiting this establishment again next time I am in town!! Thank you so much
Had a fantastic experience overall. Not only was the food hot & tasty, the service was quick & the servers were so friendly. Must recommend place if you're looking for some Tacos & Churros.

The atmosphere is lively & fun, with great music that really sets the mood. The service was friendly, & the food was incredible-super fresh & full of flavor. Highly recommend this spot!
Bon service. J'ai été très impressionné par le service lors de ma visite. Le personnel était extrêmement professionnel, poli & courtois. L'ambiance était agréable je recommande pour les anniversaires.
One of the best spots for Mexican cuisine in Montreal! I enjoyed tacos filled with chicken & others with meat, & the quesadillas with mushrooms & cheese were great. The atmosphere is inviting, making it a cozy place to dine. Highly recommended for Mecican food lovers . You can take a nice walk in downtown once you finish

Je suis toujours agréablement surpris par la qualité de la nourriture, l'ambiance &, surtout, le service exceptionnel des employés. Le menu propose une grande variété de plats mexicains, tous aussi délicieux les uns que les autres. J'aims.particulièrement les tacos au poisson & le poulet El.Chapo. Les portions sont adéquates & les prix sont raisonnables. L'ambiance du restaurant est très agréable. La décoration est géniale & est parfaite pour créer une atmosphère détendue. Le service des employés, ills sont tous très professionnels, souriants & attentifs à nos besoins. Le gérant en particulier est très présent & s'assure que tout se passe bien pour les clients. Il est ine des raisons de nos visites régulières! Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui cherchent un bon restaurant mexicain à Montréal. Amazing first time at Escondite! My server was Darling. Excellent recommendation. Food was very fresh, highly recommend the mango salad & tempura tacos. Really enjoyed this meal

I got recommended by a group of friends a few weeks ago & I finally went today amazing team every single one of the waitress were super helpful & gave great customer service.
Découvert par le biais d'une recommandation, j'ai passé un très bon moment que ça soit en terme gustatif ou en même d'ambiance, avec des échanges forts intéressants. De court passage en solo à Montréal, j'ai même eu la chance d'avoir des recommandations d'activités à faire par Amélie, encore merci. C'est donc naturellement 5/5 pour moi !
Honestly, one of my favourite places to go have a drink or to eat in the Montreal area. Sometimes, I even go on my own to have a nice & relaxed meal. Also, they make me feel at home over there. Yona & Quique, who are always managing the bar (among others), make amazing cocktails, & it is super fun to have a chat with. 100% recommended! :-)

Superbe repas, nous avons pris le menu dégustation que nous vous recommandons vivement. Nous organisons très souvent nos soupers de filles à ce restaurant & c'est toujours un succès! Un bravo particulier ce soir à Claire, notre serveuse qui a pris le temps de nous décrire chaque service avec un grand sourire!
The team at Escondite are friendly, fun, & very welcoming. The food is absolutely excellent & comes out very quickly. I took some food & drink recommendations from staff member Ariel who absolutely steered me in the right direction - try the tuna tostadas! 10/10 would go back & definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great Mexican meal in downtown Montreal.
