Spent our 22nd anniversary dining here this past weekend. Our server was super sweet & helpful. Gave us options, answered our questions & made recommendations. The drinks were great! Corn bread was almost a no-go due to a broken machine, but was replaced just in time for us to enjoy! I asked for another, it was on the house! 3 different types of tacos (fish, steak & chicken) all excellent & written in order of preference. Chips & guac were tasty as well. Wee are believers that great food tastes better when the service is exceptional, & she didn't disappoint. We will be back for sure!!

The food was tasty but nothing to call home about. Portions are good but the tacos had just a bit of garnish ( 4-5 onion little cubes & a couple of pieces of coriander).
We were charged for the salsa!!! No other mexican restaurant has ever charged for!!
The Margaritas ate great!
There was no coffee & even though it was not full the service was slow.
Not a place I'll go back to nor recommend.
As mentioned before, portions are on the small side, but it is more of a tapas-type restaurant. The flavours were amazing, my mojito was tasty & they did not skimp on the alcohol like many places nd the staff were wonderful. Will definitely be back!
Food is tasty but the portion are really really smalll & expensive. Left there hungry. Service is fine. But felt pushed to order more. West Island location needs a redo, the decor is & atmosphere is just okay, not very inviting.
I often went to Escondite in downtown Montreal, & was super stocked they opened one in the west-island. It took me a few years before I got to try it out. I loved that the restaurant atmosphere is very similar to those in Montréal, but with some unique touches. It's the same food & the food.was pretty good. We had the a Mango salad which was good, but the mango wasn't as juicy & the salad wasn't as spicy as I had remembered, so I was a little bit disappointed, but it was still very good. We had some General Chappo chicken, very spicy & tasty. Also took the tuna tordata I think it was called, that was my favorite, very fresh & tasty. Then we had some El Pastor, Coliflower & Fish tacos. Again, from memory I felt they were better / fresher at the Montreal locations. Everything was still good, but I didn't taste the pineapple in the El Pastor & the Porc was a bit dried. Coliflower was good & also the fish Taco, but the frying of the fish made it heavy. Still all enjoyable, but we were quite full afterwards! We still took one of each desserts (churro & lime dessert). Churros were fresh & warm, the lime dessert was served in a bowl. Both were good. Nothing special to say about the service, it was good but I can't say it was amazing lol It was what I'd expect.
Overall, still a good place to go, we will be back for sure.
