Not my first time eating at an escondite restaurant but this was my first time in Laval & i was not dissapointed. Great food & nice atmosphere. My server Sara was very nice & made some good suggestions when i was trying to decide on something new to try. Highly recommend.Voir plus

The atmosphere is nice, the presentation is very good, the service was ok waitress was a little stressed; but I feel like it's a place to go for drinks because the portions are really small in relation to the prices... we paid a bill of $110 for two dishes & two beers but I even thought that we should have eaten before coming 😂😂😂 because you leave with the feeling that you missed out on something.Voir plus

We chose Escondite for our date as we have come here before & we really enjoyed the food. The service was a little slow & our waitress seemed uninterested, but to be fair the restaurant was full. So no problem with lack of attention. I found it weird that the tables were super sticky, & it kinda grossed me out, so i avoided putting my hands or arms on it, or my utensils. Maybe something to look into? The staff seemed to have some issues going on, & while I didn't hear what specifically, but it was clear that they were not happy with each other. The hostess seemed stressed the entire time we were there. 🤷🏻♀️ Being on a romantic date, but seated right in front of the main entrance, & in the middle of the full restaurant already kind of put a dent in my mood, but to watch stressed people around me was just unpleasant. The food was excellent as usual, with the exception of the Jamaican ceviche, it just doesnt work together in my opinion. The rest was excellent as always! Overall, we still enjoyed our evening & would be back in a heartbeat...... maybe just not on a busy friday night though! 😂Voir plus

There is such a thing as "too much fusion" ... Not every dish & drink on the menu needs to be fusion cooking. Also, 10$ for a draft beer or 15 for a mojito is insulting. The food was okayish, but for the price, I was expecting much, much better. The server was adorable, & the back terrasse could use some music to cover the car noises...Voir plus

Très bon restaurant mexicain de style tapas. Parfait pour les plats à partager à deux ou en groupe. Pour deux personnes, nous avons commandé: le ceviche de crevettes & les gioza en entrée, puis les tacos au chou-fleur, les New el paso, aux crevettes tempura & au poulet frit ainsi qu'un margarita à la coriandre. Tout était délicieux. C'était un peu dispendieux avec une facture de 110$ + pourboire. Le ceviche de crevettes ressemble davantage à des crevettes cocktail revisitées, mais très bon tout de même. Les tacos aux crevettes (moyennement) & poulet (légèrement) étaient épicés. Le cocktail aussi. D'ailleurs, la sélection de cocktail était moyenne avec uniquement des margaritas dont environ la moitié contenaient du piment. Le service était excellent & très rapide. We ordered the Baja & the Pollos Hermanos & they were both so spicy it was not enjoyable. Menu mentioned nothing about it being spicy. Also the water that was provided was warm. Portions of 2 tacos are small for 12$. Service was fast & friendly at least!Voir plus

Great place for lunch. Not too busy or expensive & fun. Good classic margarita. The nachos are excellent. We had to order a second round. Mango salad, really good. We all had shrimp tacos. The order comes as two. I can see someone needing four tacos. Excellent service from Salma. I would want her to serve me again! Worth the visit.Voir plus
