The adjective that describes Ermitage the best is'impeccable' when it comes to cuisine, service, atmoshere & dining experience in general. The menu is composed of the world-famous Eastern European dishes as well as some signature delicacies that will tempt the eye, satisfy the mind & of course, please the palate. What surprised me was that they make things like bread, butter, cottage cheese etc. from scratch, in addition, only highest-quality ingridients are used that contributes to the excellent taste of absolutely any dish. One of the owners who is also a server there is increadibly attentive, friendly & makes one feel that they are their only customer. Interestingly, it's a cosy & high-end place at the same time. All in all, this restaurant provides more than just a fine dining experince considering its stunning interior design, soft background music & plenty of beautuful little details that catch an eye making a strong & unforgettable impression. Highly recommended for any occasion!

On a recent trip to Montreal we were looking for a different type of food/cultural experience & found it at Ermitage. We were a group of 6 had & had a wonderful evening. Service was great! Atmosphere was fantastic! Food was amazing! We sampled a lot of the menu & there was nothing I would not recommend. Even though my birthday was the next day, they still offered a small birthday celebration for me - bad luck to play the music & fully celebrate a day early . Thank you! We loved our interactions with the staff, they were all really awesome. Everyone agreed that Ermitage was the highlight of the annual weekend trip up North!
Ermitage is a beautiful, quaint spot in an upscale neighborhood serving SPECTACULAR Eastern European food. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, & feels like home. The place is run by a married couple - she serves tables & he cooks. Both are excellent at what they do. All the food, down to the bread, butter, sour cream & jam for dessert, is completely homemade. If you don't believe me now, you will after your meal! Everything on the menu is scrumptious & portion sizes are perfect. For those unfamiliar with Russian/Ukrainian cuisine, I recommend the Russian Appetizer to start (see attached photo). For mains, consider classics such as Pelmeni (dumplings), Chicken Kiev, Beef Stroganoff, & whatever the server recommends as the nightly special. For dessert, I highly recommend the Blinchiki (crepes, but better!) Medovik (cake), Varenniki (dessert dumplings), & their homemade ice cream. Definitely coming back here ASAP. Priatnogo Appetita (Bon Appetit)!
What an amazing place! Cute little restaurant where owners work tirelessly for the most authentic food.
Everything tasted amazing, caviar was very fresh & all the dishes were perfect. The ambiance, the candles, music were all perfect. Definitely coming back.
