The ambiance, the food & the service were all A+. The waitress is very welcoming & makes you feel at home. The food is typically russian / eastern european & made to the highest quality standard. I highly recommend the tasting menu. Will definitely come back!
Simply amazing! It was our first time there, & definitely not the last one. The food was exquisite (my husband is Russian but I'm vegetarian, & I was surprised about the tasty food). It was our 10th year wedding anniversary & the owner was incredible, they offered us a dessert with sparkly candles & crowns lol. Thank you very much!
Wow, wow, wow.... This was the first time eating Russian food. The restaurant was tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday. We were greeted & immediately seated at a table for two. Since it was the first time here, we opted for the tasting menu. A basket of warm bread was brought to the table with butter. We started with the fish platter, then the salmon caviar & blini. A small bit of homemade sour cream was provided. Next was a platter of piroshki & pelmeni. To clean our pallets, we had sherbet that was doused with vodka. How refreshing. The main dishes, which we selected, consisted of an order to lamb chops & an order of wapiti steak. Both have light gravy, roasted potatoes, & a variety of vegetables. A dessert of blinchiki with a light cheese stuffing & a drizzle of a cherry/raspberry coulis. Tea & / or coffee was also available. We were stuffed. The food was ALL, absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back. The service was unbelievable. Parking is a bit tough but doable. Reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant is very small & fills up quickly. Enjoy...
It's been 3 years since we've been coming to this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Service is always good, the lady is very generous & polite, ambience is pleasant, food is good & fresh! Best Russian resto in Montreal.
Was a wonderful dinner & service at this wonderful Russian restaurant in Montreal. We had a great time for my mom's birthday! Will certainly be back. Thank you!
If you yearn for the charm of old-fashioned gatherings sans self-service, where a gracious host attends to your every need, this restaurant is a nostalgic haven. With its unique character, it pampers you like a true bourgeois, sparing you dishwashing duties 😉. I recommend the "Degustation for Two" menu, offering a delightful journey through 7 distinct Russian flavors, including cold & warm starters 🤪, sorbet in Vodka🤯, a main dish of your choice 🤗, & a warm cheese crepe. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that makes time fly. Perfect for a charming date 😎. Indulge & savor because life is fleeting 🥰🥰🥰.
This restaurant made me falling in love with Russian foods. also I made beautiful memories here. I told her I came here for my friend's Bday & she gave us beautiful cake. the interior is exactly same as my imagine of Christmas . Super recommended
Great atmosphere & service, the restaurant almost feels like a museum thanks to the antique russian decor. The staff is very friendly & know multiple different languages. The food is amazing & everything tastes home made & authentic. Would highly reccomend the cottage cheese blini especially. The pricing is also very good. I wish i could eat here every day :)
This Russian cuisine restaurant, offers delicious food that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone! If you're in the mood for authentic Russian flavors, this is the place to go! Perfect service & a warm, inviting atmosphere
This is Russian cuisine at its best! I felt very nostalgic, & indeed, this experience was the most memorable part of my visit to Montreal. The service was great, the décor & ambience was perfect, & the food - the food!! The vodka was served in a lovely chilled decanter, the duck was cooked perfectly, but perhaps my favourite part was the appetizer platter with cured fish & a brilliant spread of classic Russian snacks. I can't say enough good about this wonderful place. It is a given that next time in Montreal, I won't be going just once, but as many times as I can!
