The Hermitage Museum in Saint-Petersburg is world famous. Real gourmets also remember the Hermitage (Ermitage) restaurant in Moscow. It is there, at the end of the XIX century, that French chef Lucien Olivier invented his renowned Russian salad.
Ermitage restaurant in Montreal keeps both traditions: the artistic atmosphere of the Saint-Petersburg Museum and the refined cuisine of Moscow famous French restaurant.
Ermitage feels like a cozy, elegant hideaway with old world decor and a warm, family run atmosphere. The menu embraces authentic Eastern European and European flavors, with many items made from scratch, from bread and butter to desserts. Dishes such as beef stroganoff, pelmeni, chicken Kiev and borscht earn standout praise, along with vareniki and a memorable tasting menu that showcases traditional technique. Desserts like medovik, blinchiki crepes and homemade ice cream top off meals, while the service is consistently attentive, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance, candlelight and refined yet comforting decor transport guests, making it a great setting for celebrations or intimate meals at good value. Ermitage is frequently described as a memorable, homey and special dining experience that keeps guests coming back.
What a wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious & the people running the place are so welcoming, you get to experience the proper Russian hospitality. & you must try the desserts! I have a soft spot for Russian cakes, & the ones at this restaurant are clearly made with love.
A lovely restaurant offering Russian, Georgian & European specialties. I had their Georgian soup with a perfect blend of spices & filet mignon with chanterelles & foie gras, both dishes were delicious. The owner is charming & welcoming.
Excellent service & que dire de la nourriture, délicieux. Pour avoir voyager en Russie, ce resto est celui qui se rapproche le plus de l'expérience culinaire de la Russie.
A lovely experience! The homemade food was delicious & so carefully created, & the atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing - the ceiling is covered in mirrors, the walls are donned with paintings, & the accents of gold decor create such a feeling of warmth & regality. The service was incredible, our waitress was so kind & patient!
Excellent service, quality of food, & atmosphere! Completely exceeded our expectations. Loved the duck, seafoood spaghetti & the sorbet with a splash of vodka. Above all, very affordable price for the quality of the experiment. Highly recommend.
Asiatique né en Russie, le menu d'hôte du jour me rappelle de beaux souvenirs avec ma famille. Un endroit incontournable tout près de l'Oratoire Saint-Joseph !
On a ADORÉ.
La nourriture est très bonne, la présentation jolie. Aussi l'endroit est chaleureux & c'est sans oublier la propriétaire qui est super accueillante. Le seule problème c'est qu'on voudrait y retourner tous les soirs !!!
