The Hermitage Museum in Saint-Petersburg is world famous. Real gourmets also remember the Hermitage (Ermitage) restaurant in Moscow. It is there, at the end of the XIX century, that French chef Lucien Olivier invented his renowned Russian salad.
Ermitage restaurant in Montreal keeps both traditions: the artistic atmosphere of the Saint-Petersburg Museum and the refined cuisine of Moscow famous French restaurant.
Ermitage feels like a cozy, elegant hideaway with old world decor and a warm, family run atmosphere. The menu embraces authentic Eastern European and European flavors, with many items made from scratch, from bread and butter to desserts. Dishes such as beef stroganoff, pelmeni, chicken Kiev and borscht earn standout praise, along with vareniki and a memorable tasting menu that showcases traditional technique. Desserts like medovik, blinchiki crepes and homemade ice cream top off meals, while the service is consistently attentive, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance, candlelight and refined yet comforting decor transport guests, making it a great setting for celebrations or intimate meals at good value. Ermitage is frequently described as a memorable, homey and special dining experience that keeps guests coming back.
Get transported to another time & place! Where you are welcomed with warmth & attention. The food is delicious & so lovingly prepared. The service is impeccable & you know that so much attention & care has gone towards your beautifully presented meal. This beautiful place will be on repeat for us.

Wow, wow, wow.... This was the first time eating Russian food. The restaurant was tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday. We were greeted & immediately seated at a table for two. Since it was the first time here, we opted for the tasting menu. A basket of warm bread was brought to the table with butter. We started with the fish platter, then the salmon caviar & blini. A small bit of homemade sour cream was provided. Next was a platter of piroshki & pelmeni. To clean our pallets, we had sherbet that was doused with vodka. How refreshing. The main dishes, which we selected, consisted of an order to lamb chops & an order of wapiti steak. Both have light gravy, roasted potatoes, & a variety of vegetables. A dessert of blinchiki with a light cheese stuffing & a drizzle of a cherry/raspberry coulis. Tea & / or coffee was also available. We were stuffed. The food was ALL, absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back. The service was unbelievable. Parking is a bit tough but doable. Reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant is very small & fills up quickly. Enjoy...
Everything is home made & they are so delicious! LOVE their vodka shots, it is so cold that there's ice in it, & it comes with pickle slices. Service is impeccable, will definitely come back.
Cozy, good for families, a nice decoration, great & friendly staff, a peaceful environment, authentic dishes & tasty food! Delicious desserts, Highly Recommended ;)

La nourriture était vraiment très bonne, les plats sont faits maisons & excellents. Le service est très bons & les personnes agréables. Nous avons passé une super soirée !
It's been 3 years since we've been coming to this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Service is always good, the lady is very generous & polite, ambience is pleasant, food is good & fresh! Best Russian resto in Montreal.
I have been a long time away from home & this restaurant reminded me of all the wonderful things I miss about Russia. The menu options were great & diverse. The food was homemade & divine. I went with friends who had no expectations & they were welcomed with such love & affection we were overwhelmed. We felt like we had foster parents who were selfless. The food was impeccable, the portion sizes were big, & the flavour was perfectly in tune with the place. I'm a student & tipping is hard but I felt that I didn't tip enough for the hospitality we were welcomed with

Couldn't ask for a better experience in Montreal with my friends. From the infinite bread to the free ice cream that they gave us. Definitely recommend it to the others
After God created the heaven & the earth. He created "Restaurant Ermitage" & its two wonderful waitresses. One of the most worthwhile places to visit if you respect yourself. So if you have some dollars in your wallet, call your friends, family or love & visit "Restaurant Ermitage"! Greetings from Germany
This is a delicious & beautiful restaurant & very nice server! We had the set dinner, & you can sample all their house made offerings. The fish is really beautiful. We will be back
