Went with my partner for lunch on a Sunday & it was our first time going. We both really enjoyed our food - large portions at an affordable price, & the dessert I had (bread pudding) was incredibly tasty.
Being a Cheesecake Factory knock-off, the décor was ostentatious, but I think that's part of the charm.
Our waitress was also friendly & attentive - we will definitely be back.
The wine was good value. Our server was a sparkling young woman who was a joy to be around. I had the jambalaya which was as always great (although made with previously frozen chicken meat I think). The dessert cheesecake, as always, was delicious.
Elixor is one of the best restaurants in West Island.
'Elixor' of longevity & health? Certainly not. The portions clearly sacrifice quality for quantity; they're massive - this isn''t a dinning establishment, but a shovelling one, a classic North American feed trough.
Going off some of these other reviews, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder; I found it garish, dated & cheap.
None of this is an inditement of the staff, who were incredibly timely, friendly, & attentive.
Will I be back? No Ma'am. Not at $100+ for two people, no drinks, no dessert, & the food slightly above mess hall slop.
The Shepard's pie was pretty good though the mushroom sauce was a bit overwhelming with a wine taste. Save your money on the classic hamburger though, it was just ok but not really worth the price. All in all it's a bit expensive, especially on drinks like bubbly water & desserts. We had two waitresses & both were very nice, & the service they provided was fantastic. Aside from the price I think the place could've used a bit better lighting as our booth felt a bit on the dark side.
We went after a funeral we were a group of 30 people. The waitress was amazing . Went above & beyond. Food was delicious. Dessert was also. Over all great experience, will definitely be going back .
Première fois à ce restaurant. Nous sommes arrivés aux alentours de 17h30,30 minutes plus tard,c'était presque full. Juste ça,ça en dit long. En moyenne,pour 2 personnes tout dépendant des plats & des boissons, desserts etc.. environ 100$-130$ mais la qualité & la quantité de nourriture dans chaque assiette est imbattable. Le service super rapide WOW! 15 minutes après avoir passé la commande & nous avions nos repas. Je recommande très fortement. A bientôt

We had a lovely group lunch with 10 people. Service was excellent - patient (getting a group to order can sometimes be like herding cats :-)), friendly, accommodating with regard to extras & modifications. Everyone was happy with their meals which all arrived at the same time, & almost everyone went home with leftovers, even those who had ordered "only" appetizers - they are huge! I would have given five stars for the food, if the dessert selection was more diverse. There were ten different kinds of (cheese) cake & some ice cream, & I would love to see more variety. Otherwise an overall excellent experience at very decent prices.
We celebrated my husband birthday & the food was amazing, portion sizes are unbeatable. We are too much & didn't have any room for dessert when we were surprised with a slice of cheesecake & candle , sparkle❤️

Very enjoyable lunch for our group. The food, both main course & desserts, were all delicious. The service was courteous & efficient.
& the chairs are super comfortable.
Will certainly plan to come again soon.
Went for supper, group of 3, as part of celebrating my wife's 65th birthday, this is a favourite place or hers. Because the portions are so generous we have never actually been able to order dessert but since my wife absolutely wanted to try the carrot cake (which was worth it!!) we ordered lighter by taking the VIP sampler of 4 appetizers that is good for 4 people. All appetizers (avocado rolls; chicken crispers; spinach dip & calamari) were good but we left some to take home. The lentil soup I had to start was excellent, as the soups generally are at Elixor.
They were accommodating for zero alcohol drink options (daiquiris & Heineken Zero). The only thing they could improve is for the cappuccinos we ordered, we were not asked if a cinnamon sprinkle was okay but we prefer chocolate sprinkle. Also my wife's decaf cappuccino was not good but my full-caf was good.
Service was excellent, they took care of us very efficiently & were happy to replace the cappuccino with the proper sprinkle option! We will return again.
I will most definitely recommend this restaurant. The service & attention to our party of 9 was exceptional. Also want to mention I ordered a cheesecake as a Birthday dessert, the cake was fully covered with fresh strawberries & sirop... beautiful, baked in the resto, & oh so good! It was a fantastic birthday venue! Thank You Elixor for making it a most memorable evening for all!
We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent & the service was very friendly. Portions are huge! Leave room for dessert, or consider having your dessert first!
