Belle découverte pour moi sans devoir aller à Montréal pour retrouver les goûts traditionnels de la cuisine mexicaine. Que dire des cocktails 🤤🙌🏼 ils sont DÉLICIEUX!! Il en a autant pour les goûts salés que ceux plus sucrés. J'y suis allée un mardi où il y a la promotion tacos à 5$. Je m'étais dit que la qualité/quantité y serait peut être diminuée mais aucunement!! Je recommande à qui aime bien la cuisine authentique du Mexique, d'y aller rapidement 🌮 💚🤍❤️

Honestly the best Tacos I've had this far. We got shrimp, chicken, pork & beef tacos, my personal favorite was the pork (Al pastor). Took a while which makes me think that everything is prepared from scratch. It's also located next to the river, & in the summer you can sit outside. & on Tuesdays their Tacos are $5 each, perfect for if you want to give them all a try

J'ai vraiment adoré. Je pensais au début que c'était juste de la cuisine épicée. & bien non. La nourriture était très bonne. & les cocktails j'en ai jamais bu des aussi bons. Le service était très bien. & oui je vais y retourner assurément 😉

We came here before the renovations & new menu which at that time the food & atmosphere was already good but I must say that you have outdone yourselves! The place looks even better; the colors & decorations are beautiful & relaxing along with the Mexican music in the background. We are transported to Mexico without leaving here! Your new menu is even more delicious & we like the new choices. We are for sure returning & bringing the family too! Wishing you a continued success! See you again!

IDK what happened this time but the pirata cocktail that I always take at this place was not so great, the taste wasn't balanced. My wife's drink wasn't prepared well as well & when she told that to the waitress she started to convince us that this is okay, we returned it & asked to redo, food was so-so beef tacos were great but the chicken shrimp wasn't, chicken was overcooked & dry. We ended up with a 125$ bill without tips for two people. At the end this was great evening, will come back to El Cactus 😜

Côté nourriture tout est très bon & le service aussi. Niveau ambiance, les seuls petits bémols étaient la musique trop forte selon moi & les tables trop collées, tellement que les serveuses avaient de la difficulté à circuler. Mais sommes toutes je recommande fortement, on se croirait au Mexique!

Quel plaisir d'avoir un resto comme ça dans le coin! Tout était parfait mon seul bémol la musique dans le tapis... On s'entendait pas trop & les gens du coup parlent encore plus fort - donc un peu fatiguant à la longue...

Our first time here was during their Sunday Tapas. I would have preferred to go on a regular night because I don't think some of the things they served were worth it.

Le meilleur resto de Châteauguay. Je modifie mon avis passé : LE meilleur resto Mexicain !!! Ambiance génial un must !! Tout mais tout est bon Je reviens du Mexique & je dirais que c'est meilleur au El Cactus !!!!! Merci aux nouveaux propriétaires d'avoir gardé le concept !

Service impeccable, les serveuses sont vraiment vraiment gentille J'ai pris le burrito au boeuf & c'était terriblement décevant. Ça goutais le mix old el paso. Le burrito était minuscule & c'était de la viande hachée sec. Plus de salade verte que de burrito, pour 22$, c'est plate. Mon conjoint a pris au poulet & il était meilleur toutefois. La guacamole était excellente!

Awesome & authentic food! Not your typical, Americanized, Mexican restaurant. Quaint little place, decorated with all the charm that the Mexican culture has to offer. If you like Mexican, you can't go wrong.
