Well as a Lebanese who has been away for a while, Dunia is one of the rare spots, if not the only one that truly made me feel like I was back home. From the very first bite of shawarma, a smile lit up my face, like a kid rediscovering happiness, with memories of Lebanon rushing back in every bite. Both the chicken & beef shawarma were perfectly seasoned & authentic, hitting every nostalgic note.
The Ashta ice cream was rich & simple with the delicate flavor of miske, perfectly paired with pistachios. We also tried their homemade peach iced tea, which was refreshing & just sweet enough.
Sometimes, the magic lies in doing things the way they're meant to be, without unnecessary twists or adaptations. I really hope they hold on to their spirit & continue delivering the same level of authenticity & quality!!View more

The best Shawarma I've tried in Canada, made me reminisce home. Tried the beef, chicken & the falafel, all three were phenomenal. The Pistachio ice cream was also really good - I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone that's craving an authentic Lebanese experience. The Beef shawarma & the chicken shawarma were phenomenal. Very tasty. The falafel was ok, tasty but not the best. The fattoush is not fattoush at all: it didn't have the pomegranate molasses which is very essential to the authentic fattoush. Fries & garlic are spot on. Loved the fresh mint & parsley! The owner & employees were very warm & inviting. They shared how they make their falafel & offered my friend ashta, which he'd never tried before. As a frequent customer of Dunya, I've always enjoyed their delicious, authentic shawarma. However, my recent experience was disappointing. When I tried to order 10 sandwiches to pick up, I was told it was considered catering & couldn't be fulfilled on the spot. They also refused to accept an order of 4+ sandwiches in-store. If they can't handle such requests, they should reconsider their operations.View more

Went to try Dunya during the weekend & it was a blast. Their shawarma is the best in montreal. They serve it the authentic way. The fries were super crunchy. Everything was super fresh & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. We were two people & we order 2 shawarmas each. & 1 was more than enough for a person. FINALLY some authentic, relatively affordable Lebanese street food in Montreal. This is the only actual shawarma & falafel restaurant in town.
