Everything we tried on the menu was amazing. We had visited our family here & they took us to this amazing place. The food didn't take long to come out until it got really busy. We ordered just about everything from the appetizer menu. I definitely recommend this place.View more

Food was disappointing, & mid (had a vegetarian biriani + some chicken) -Smallest piece of chicken I've seen -The biriani was wet... like it almost felt like a half cooked porridge. -took 20 minutes, & I was the only one waiting Nice drawings on the wall, thought !View more

We were a frequent guest in this hotel during our tour in Montreal. The ambiance, taste, service & behavior of staff, everything is excellent.View more
The food here was delicious & comforting. I was told everything is prepared in house & it shows. The naan bread was crispy & soft, & the dishes were custom made to our level of spice tolerance. We ordered the Pani Puri to start, then the lamb korma (sweet) & the chicken tikka masala (spicy) with a stuffed paneer naan & it was the perfect balance of alternating between sweet & spicy. The service was very calm & helpful, & they dim the lights at dinnertime. Quality food. I'd love to go back to try more.View more
I recently visited this restaurant with my girlfriend, but we had to stop eating & leave due to a hygiene issue. While we were dining, we noticed a cockroach on the table, which made us uncomfortable enough to end our meal. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she informed us that the place had recently been sprayed, which made us even more concerned about the environment being safe for eating. It was disappointing to pay for food my girlfriend didn't even get to finish. I hope management takes these issues seriously to ensure a better experience for future guests.View more
I always order delivery from this place & I love it. The butter chicken is great but the chicken korma is amaaazing! I hope they never change the recipe.View more
Just for a trial, I came here to try the food. I & my friend we ordered Butter chicken & garlic naan - the gravy was not thick & for naan I would say my one nod is a reaction. So long story short if you are looking for Indian food in Montreal with not spicy masalas then try this place. More than anything, I like the owner of this "restaurante". He's cool & takes his job seriously.View more
This restaurant offers an authentic & flavorful taste of India. The dishes are rich in spices & perfectly balanced, with each bite bursting with traditional flavors. The chilli paneer was tender, & the naan was soft & freshly made. The staff is welcoming & attentive, & the ambiance adds to the overall dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving a genuine Indian meal!"View more

At Downtown Dhaaaba, dishes like Malai Champ & Paneer Masala are beautifully presented, often served alongside a well-decorated salad plate. The Malai Champ is a rich & creamy dish, featuring soft, tender meat marinated in malai (cream) & spices. The flavors are subtle yet deeply satisfying, offering a perfect blend of creaminess & mild heat. The Paneer Masala is equally indulgent, featuring soft, cubed paneer cooked in a spiced tomato gravy that strikes a balance between tangy & savory. Both dishes are accompanied by a vibrant salad plate that adds freshness to the meal. This plate usually includes a variety of vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, onions & a piece of lemon often arranged artfully to complement the richness of the main dishes. The salad not only adds color to the presentation but also provides a refreshing contrast to the heavy flavors of the Malai Champ & Paneer Masala, making the overall dining experience well-rounded & visually appealing. Downtown Dhaaaba's commitment to detail in both taste & presentation makes these dishes a highlight for diners looking for an authentic & satisfying Indian meal.View more
