The place itself is now called Indian resto which was at first glance quite difficult to find because online it displays a different name.
I did order take out & sticked to the basics like a lentil curry with rice. Due to the good ratings, I was expecting a lot. Unfortunately I was greeted with a curry that did taste like store bought/straight out of a can. Even though the food was cheap, I think the rating is way too high for delivering that poor food quality. Additionally I had a Mango Lassy which also tasted mainly like water with a little mango Joghurt in it, also really disappointed. Don't recommend it at all as long as the quality stays like this.View more

We visit montreal & looking for a indian restaurant so we choose downtown dhaba...The food was amazing,,delicious indian home made taste..From the moment we stepped inside, the warm & inviting atmosphere of Downtown Dhaba transported us straight to the heart of India. The rich aromas of spices hung in the air, promising a culinary journey we wouldn't soon forget. & we weren't disappointed! The curry & Paneer tikka masala & soya chaap was absolutely divine. The sauce was creamy, perfectly spiced, & bursting with flavor. The soya chaap was tender & succulent, absorbing every bit of the delicious sauce. We also highly recommend the Paneer tikka masala The Paneer was fresh & vibrant, & the paneer was cooked to perfection. Each dish we ordered was a masterpiece of flavor & texture, a testament to the chef's skill & passion for authentic Indian cuisine. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was truly outstanding. Our server, sanna , was attentive, knowledgeable, & incredibly friendly. They patiently guided us through the menu, offering helpful recommendations & ensuring we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. Overall, our visit to Downtown dhaba was an absolute delight.
