Double's a une personnalité unique de sous-sol kétaine des années 80s, nourriture de fin de soirée & carte de vins avec une qualité bien au-dessus de l'atmosphère proposée. S'ensuit une expérience unique de fast-food arrosé avec du bon vin dans un endroit qu'on est fier de ne pas rénover. C'est le fun, décontracté & on mange bien dans une atmosphère électrique.
D'emblée le service par la jeune équipe de serveuse est sympathique, relax & accueillante. De loin, le gros facteur différentiateur de l'endroit.
Les ailes de poulet était excellentes avec une sauce bien relevée, piquante & lustrée. Les burgers étaient également très bon, un peu trop salés, mais belle croûte de sur-cuisson de ce que l'on attend d'un smash burger. Seul bémol, les frites, qui avaient été recommandées par la serveuse, se sont avérés très ordinaires, pâteuses, sans saveur, pas vraiment bonnes. Par contre, les rondelles d'oignons sont bien meilleures & fortement recommandées.
Seule chose qui est vraiment gossant est le va & vient incessant des fumeurs qui ouvrent & ferment la porte d'entrée ce qui pousse des drafts d'air froid en hiver & qui refroidit toute la salle. Gossant les fumeurs. En terminant, les toilettes ne possèdent pas de lavabo fonctionnel pour se laver les mains & sont généralement en état pitoyable qui pourrait en rebuter plusieurs. Je comprends qu'on veut un look « dive bar » mais y'a quand même un minimum de décence.

Rumors are true! The smash burger is absurd but what took me by surprise was the Onion Rings! Make a reservation if you want to get a table if not it is impossible!

Awesome place awesome people & definitely top three smash burger in Montreal if I was hard pressed to do a top three all time great Montreal smash burger it's real close but I'd have to say 3-mangesdansmonhood 2-doubles 1-zeez burger but honestly it's really too close to call only way to know for sure is to try all three & be happy happy happy 😃
Small menu but you're here for the smash burger & drinks. It's good, not great, but maybe I came in with too high expectations. Wasn't a fan of their fries though. Nice chill vibe, good place to swing in with friends.
Truly awesome smash burgers. Onion rings & poutine on point & decent wings. Honest service in all great spot. Def recommend ! If I'm being picky parking is a mess but the resto was awesome.

Best smash burger in town, BEST mozzarella sticks I've ever had the honour of tasting. Super nice service, cool & intimate dive bar atmosphere, just an all around awesome place. Worth the hype & worth the price 👌👌
Par quoi commencer... Quelle déception honnêtement! Je ne suis vraiment du genre à me être négative dans mes comments, mais malheureusement je dois être honnête. On pensait trouver un dîner mais en réalité c'est un bar & la bouffe d'ailleurs est écrit en dernier sur l'enseigne. On pense aller manger un burger & 2 bouncer a l'entrée demandent les cartes d'identités... Pour l'ambiance, je dirais que c'est la première fois qu'on ne s'est pas senti à notre place & pourtant le Mile End ça nous connait. Ensuite au niveau de la vibe & de la crowd, pas de jugement mais cette soirée nous étions entourés de jeunes qui se pensent au dessus de tout le monde & impoli. Pour le service, on a attendu presque 1h notre commande & j'ai dû valider avec la cuisine plusieurs fois car mon "ticket" avait été perdu... Pour la bouffe honnêtement si tu veux payer 17$ pour un smach trop salé + 8$ pour une frite congelée McCain c'est ta place... Au total 55$ + tip pour 1 Smash burger, 1 frite & 2 Corona... In my opinion a normal bar that lives on good reviews from influencers. If you are willing to pay $17 for a smash burger that has nothing out of the ordinary this is the place. If not I would recommend avoiding it.
Extrêmement cher. Le burger à 15$ avant taxes est tout simplement une honte. Il est bon, mais 15$ pour un smash burger c'est rire du monde. Bière bouteille pas en bas de 6,54$ avant taxes (Budweiser). Cocktail bon pour le prix honnetement c'est la seule option viable sur le menu. Un resto qui va être bien éphémere selon moi. Aucun locaux va retourner labas après 1 fois à moins de connaitre le proprietaire ou bien d'etre carrement fou

Loved it here! Went for a birthday celebration & noted it on the reservation & they didn’t disappoint! The smash burger is absolutely phenomenal & would recommend though & through. Cool atmosphere with great service. Wish the prices were a bit lower ($15 for just the burger) but in this economy it’s normal. Wish they had beer on tap/a wider selection of beer, but they had an amazing liquor selection! Very cool vibes - make a reservation & go a bit later in the evening!
This place is no nonsense. They treat you like family & what they have is quite possibly the best smash burger in the city if not the country. ( my opinion of course ) love to you all
Do they call it a smash burger because of the way it's cooked or because of how you smash it in your mouth from how good it is? In any case, this one is both.
For being relatively new (ish) it is decorated as an old neighbourhood dive bar. Playing alternative rock, showing sports (mostly football right now), pool table, the decor overall, graffiti all over the entrance wall... This place is a vibe.
But the real star of the show for us was the Michigan Oliive Burger. We were told why it's called that but tbh.. we forgot. But nonetheless it is wonderful. Very large, & yet we kinda wanted another one. Juicy, moist, just the right amount of light bread, lovely sauce & did we say... Very large?
It's worth visiting for this burger alone.
