Review Summary

Dosa Pointe is widely celebrated as a premier destination for authentic South Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine in Montreal, earning praise for its crispy, generously filled dosas, fluffy idlis, and flavorful chutneys that many diners compare favorably to meals found in India. While the majority of visitors highlight the consistent quality, generous portion sizes, and excellent value for money, experiences with service and atmosphere can vary. The restaurant often experiences high demand, resulting in busy, noisy environments and occasional wait times, which some guests find off-putting despite the high culinary standards. Although most reviews commend the friendly and efficient staff, others have noted occasional inconsistencies in service speed or attentiveness during peak hours. Ultimately, the restaurant remains a highly recommended favorite for those seeking an authentic and comforting dining experience, provided guests are prepared for a lively and sometimes crowded setting.

Food is very good. Gobhi Manchurian is the best in the town. Achari Dosa, Uttappam are also good. Its my go to place.

You cannot find better idlis or chutneys. The peanut, coconut, & orange chutneys are all delicious.

The dosas are crispy, light, & cooked to perfection. The masala filling is incredibly flavorful & tasty.

Highly recommend!

Went with a couple of friends for dinner on a Friday. The place was full the entire time we were there & there was a short line outside. However, service is really fast & efficient, it's nice to see a restaurant actually have the amount of people it needs to run smoothly.
The food was phenomenal!!!! We got the masala dosa, minced lamb dosa, chicken noodles, & Manchurian. Everything tasted so authentic, it reminded me of home. The sambhar was actually one of the best I have had in my life. 10/10 will definitely go back! I am actually upset this was my first time visiting despite living in Montreal for many years.

The place is very hyped, but the food didn't live up to the expectations. The dosa I ordered was just average; honestly, I can make a better dosa at home. The garlic chili chicken noodles were disappointing as well-they were overly oily & loaded with sauce. Overall, the food quality did not justify the hype.

RAISE YOUR PRICE IF YOU WANT MORE PROFIT BUT AT LEAST KEEP THE PORTION DECENT.
My family & I have been regular customers at Dosa Point for quite some time & usually visit every second week because we genuinely love the food. Unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. The portions seemed noticeably smaller, & it was 1/5 mysore masala in dosa. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, the response was simply that the chef was the same, which did not address our concern.I told them'Raise your price but keep the portion decent.'
I left extra $10 on top of my bill, not as a TIP but as a gesture that customers can pay extra if food taste good but Please don't try dirty tactics.
We have always enjoyed the restaurant & hope this was just an isolated incident, but today's service felt poor & ungenerous compared to what we've come to expect.

We don't really enjoy the chai too much, but I think the food made up for the rest! I really enjoy the Lamb Keema dosa.. also the paneer dosa. The mango lassi is a little watery in my opinion.

Overall i recommend the foods but probably not the drinks!
