Reviews consistently describe Dorsia as an elegant, high end restaurant with a refined atmosphere in Old Montreal, where the food is praised across courses from tartare to duck and seafood, and wine and cocktail selections are frequently highlighted. The service is consistently lauded as attentive, professional, and knowledgeable, helping diners feel pampered and well cared for, and the decor is often cited as sophisticated and welcoming, with a vibrant yet intimate vibe. Many reviewers regard the dining experience as memorable enough to warrant a Michelin level nod and say it is worth visiting for special occasions. A minority note occasional service delays or long waits between courses, and some dishes or portions are described as not as extraordinary as the price would suggest, but the overall sentiment remains highly positive. Overall, Dorsia is portrayed as a standout dining destination with top notch service, superb food quality, and a striking atmosphere that invites repeat visits.
I'm a tourist in Montreal, was searching for the perfect spot to eat & I got lots of recommendations about Dorsia. But to be honest, Filet Mignon was the only thing I really enjoyed, It was just beyond everything . Dorsia positioned itself as a fine dining restaurant, but I didn't feel it. Usually you expect someone to explain you the dishes & exclusive ingredients that make the dish to taste in a unique way. Unfortunately I didn't get any explanations at all:( As for tartare it was just average & Agnolotti were way too oily for me. Unfortunately neither service nor food left a special impression. Just an expensive place without the soul. Wouldn't come back or recommend Dorsia to someone who is looking to taste & feel real Montreal
It was enjoyable. Very pleasant waitress lady, I think her name was Léa. She was that one pearl that made my 1st couple anniversary feel special. The entries were delicious, main plates well combined. The interior & location were amazing. We ended up on a 300+ bill for a dinner of two, but it was worth it.

Super restaurant sur le vieux port, l'équipe est vraiment à l'écoute & la nourriture y est exquise ! Merci à l'hôtesse Marie pour son écoute concernant la table. Je recommande
Let's start with the food: exquisite, a word so frequently misused it often feels hollow. But not here. The amuse-bouche-a delicate arrangement of sea urchin, caviar, & a whisper of Meyer lemon-was so ethereal, it felt like I was eating stardust. The main course? An herb-crusted lamb rack paired with an aged Bordeaux reduction that could have brought Nietzsche himself to tears. It was the kind of meal that makes you ponder the futility of existence, then promptly forget it as you revel in your next perfectly executed bite. The dessert, a deconstructed lavender panna cotta, was so sublime I considered framing the plate rather than letting the busboy take it away. The ambiance? Immaculate. Warm, muted lighting cast over sleek, minimalistic decor that suggested wealth without screaming it-a detail I respect. The clientele was... acceptable. A mix of high-powered executives & impeccably dressed women sipping martinis with such precision you'd think it was choreographed. The music? A discreet mix of Miles Davis & Vivaldi, a soothing backdrop that never once overpowered the muted hum of power & privilege. What truly sets Dorsia apart, though, is the service. The waiter, who had a jawline sharp enough to rival mine, attended to my every whim with the sort of reverence I deserve. My water glass never dipped below half-full. My wine pairings were so on point they bordered on clairvoyance. I tipped generously, of course-anything less would be gauche. Would I recommend Dorsia? Not to Paul Allen. He wouldn't understand the nuanced brilliance of the chef's approach, nor would he grasp the importance of a reservation. But to those who can, & do, aspire to greatness-yes. Absolutely.
I recently visited this restaurant & found the food enjoyable & the ambience quite charming. However, the service was unfortunately below par. Even something as straightforward as ordering a bottle of wine took far longer than expected, & both our main course & desserts were similarly delayed. Despite the appealing atmosphere & well-prepared dishes, the drawn-out wait times significantly impacted the overall dining experience. I hope the restaurant addresses these service issues soon, as it has the potential to be an exceptional place if the service is improved.
Had an amazing experience at this Restaurant. Went to Montreal for a couple of days with my boyfriend from NYC & stumbled upon this gem by walking around. We made a last minute reservation for our anniversary since we were lost in the area. From the moment we stepped in the service was on point. Food was delicious & cocktails/ wine as well. Manager was super attentive & made us a lil note congratulating us on our anniversary. Server pretty much gave us a rundown of what to choose & was top. At the end of our meal we asked for recommendations to go for a last drink & they offered their speak easy downstairs which was just gorgeous to finish the night!! Beautiful evening over all & will always remember this fantastic night. Thank you again to the entire team! Best of luck!!!

Amazing cocktails, friendly service with amazing decoration & most importantly I cannot get over how decadent the mussels were, the tomato base is seasoned perfectly with fresh soft slightly chewy mussels. It is hard to achieve that result but I can definitely say that those were the best mussels I have had in a while. I totally recommend!
We came with my girlfriend for our anniversary on a Tuesday night, it was a memorable experience from A to Z. Very professional & friendly service. The food was outstanding. We appreciated the attention from the manager for our special occasion. We will definitely come back. Ps : at the end of the dinner we got offered to go to their speakeasy downstairs the restaurant, it made our night even more special !

Beautiful restaurant & delicious food, but sadly we were disappointed by the service. We came to celebrate a birthday & notified the staff, as we had seen people receiving dessert with a lit candle. We ended up receiving our dessert without a candle, because they had supposedly "ran out" of them. About 10 minutes later, the big table right next to us received their dessert with a candle. Kind of weird that they would "find" candles for some clients but not for others. Although this might seem like an insignificant detail, it really affected our experience as we had booked specifically to celebrate a birthday. Also had to ask to be served bread, which appeared to be served automatically to other tables. Not really the kind of experience you expect from a high-end restaurant.
