C'était la première fois que j'allais dans un resto gastronomique. Ce fut pour moi une expérience unique. D'abord, le décor est magnifique. Tout est impeccable. On nous accueille comme des dignitaires. Le niveau d'éclairage & celui de la musique sont parfaits. En apéro, les cocktails valent déjà à eux seuls la visite. Ensuite, on nous fait passer de la section lounge à notre table.
Nous faisons la rencontre du sommelier qui nous fait ses recommandations parmi un choix de 700 bouteilles. Le relais est pris par un de nos serveurs. Chacun des huit services est présenté bien évidemment avec une description des ingrédients & leur préparation. On approfondie avec la raison de leur choix & leur provenance. S'ils ne peuvent être trouvés localement afin de satisfaire les exigences du chef, on nous explique d'où ils sont importés & pourquoi. Les plats qu'on nous apporte & qui se succèdent sont les mouvements d'une véritable symphonie pour les sens. Ils nous invitent à une première bouchée presque solennelle.
Finalement, ce qui rend l'expérience si exceptionnelle, c'est la qualité du service. Un personnel rigoureux, sympathique & passionné se souciant du moindre détail, même sans le demander. De petites choses qui, au bout du compte, font toute la différence.

I recently celebrated a birthday at Dorsia in Old Port, & the entire experience truly exceeded all of our expectations.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into a Michelin-star restaurant in the heart of Paris. The atmosphere is elegant & refined, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion.
As for the food, it was absolutely unbelievable. Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, clearly crafted with care & precision.
I would highly recommend Dorsia to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Old Montreal. It's the perfect spot for celebrating something special or simply enjoying an exceptional night out.

Dorsia absolutely exceeded expectations. We originally stopped in just for drinks, no plans for a full dinner but despite being a group of six, they were incredibly accommodating & welcomed us without hesitation. What started as a casual stop turned into the best experience of the night.
We began with drinks, & every single one was exceptional beautifully crafted, balanced, & memorable. After taking a look at the menu, most of us couldn't resist & ended up ordering food as well & I'm so glad we did. The dishes were truly outstanding, easily matching the quality of the cocktails.
One standout for me personally was the pickled stuffed olives completely mind-blowing & unexpectedly one of the highlights of the night.
The service elevated everything even further. Our server was kind, attentive, & gave excellent recommendations throughout the evening. But what really made the experience unforgettable was Lucas. He handled our lively, chatty group with ease even as the restaurant quieted down & still managed to provide a personalized & thoughtful experience. He went out of his way to walk my friend through the variety of martinis they offer, which was a really nice touch.
Dorsia delivers on every level drinks, food, & service. What started as a spontaneous visit turned into a night we'll all remember. Definitely a top-tier spot & one I'd highly recommend.
We had an amazing overall dining experience at Dorsia tonight. Did the 4 course tasting menu, all of the dishes were fantastic, the decor is beautiful, & service here was flawless. This truly is a special restaurant to visit for a special occasion, we were blown away tonight & would highly recommend it here!

I will leave my original review up so you can understand why we returned. My first experience was so positive that I gathered some friends to return & what a disappointment. From the moment we arrived it was a terrible, terrible experience.From the way we were poorly greeted, to all dishes being barely warm, & pretty bland, it was like a totally different restaurant. Yet the price was super steep so for that reason I would no longer recommend Dorsia. We did share with management our genuine disappointment so hopefully they can level back up .. in the meantime, there are too many other amazing places to eat in Montreal!
An incredible evening & meal! This restaurant delivers on all fronts, chic ambiance, attentive staff, superb cocktails (especially the limencello martini), & incredible food! Not a surprise that they are en route to a Michelin Star. Well deserved!

The atmosphere was nice. The food was really good , however the service was a bit slow. We had to wait almost an hour for our main. I would recommend to try the tiramisu dessert for sure!

Nous venons souvent ici, parfois accompagnées d'amies, & à chaque visite la nourriture comme le service restent toujours exemplaires.
Les papilles sont comblées à chaque fois !

Cadre beau certe mais l'attente est extrêmement longue environ 50 minutes d'attente après chaque plat pour une taille vraiment ridicule. Les plats ne valent clairement pas le prix. Le goût du dessert chocolat chocolat horrible. Pour autant d'argent dépensé c'est très décevant.En plus de cela des erreurs inadmissibles dans les additions. Je ne vous recommande guère ce restaurant pour votre bien. Maintenant si vous voulez un bon visuel du bâtiment mais attendre 1h par plat & manger très peu & très mal c'est le restaurant qu'il vous faut.

Phenomenal dining experience. Refined yet relaxed atmosphere & decor.
Server Guillaume was the best waiter I have had in a restaurant, very attentive & knowledgeable.
Food was exceptional. Delicious variety of appetizers (I recommend the Mille fueille with chicken liver mousse) & pasta. Both seafood & steaks were cooked & seasoned excellently.
Cocktails were very good as well, with a broad selection of wine, my personal favorite was the Negroni with olives.
Dessert left much to be desired was our only gripe with this other excellent restaurant.
Bathrooms & facilities were also in notably great condition.
This was one of the best dining experiences all around I've ever had. This restaurant alone can make a trip to Montreal worth it.
Que ce soit à l'accueil avec Rihanna & son sourire, ou avec Sébastien & sa précision au bar, vous ne manquerez pas ce service chaleureux & à l'écoute de vos envies. Une cuisine délicate & raffinée qui étonne vos papilles gustatives. La carte des vins offre une sélection remarquable. Laurent fait une recommandation très intéressante concernant les digestifs, ce qui vous permettra de découvrir de nouveaux produits.

Franchement, Dorsia, c'est beaucoup de fla-fla pour absolument rien. Un resto qui se prend pour un autre, mais qui n'arrive même pas à livrer le minimum. Le décor essaie d'être chic, mais ça sonne faux, presque prétentieux, comme si on voulait impressionner sans avoir le talent pour suivre.
Le service? Lent, froid & arrogant. On a l'impression que le personnel nous fait une faveur juste en prenant la commande. Aucun sourire, aucune attention, zéro chaleur humaine. À Montréal, on est habitués à mieux que ça.
La bouffe est overpriced & fade. Des assiettes jolies pour Instagram, mais sans âme ni saveur. Portions ridicules, goûts plats, rien qui justifie les prix complètement exagérés. On sort de là en se demandant sérieusement où est passé l'argent.
En résumé, Dorsia, c'est une grosse déception : trop cher, trop prétentieux, pas assez bon. Montréal regorge de vrais bons restos - celui-là n'en fait clairement pas partie. Je ne recommande pas, & je n'y retournerai certainement pas.
Quelle belle soirée au Dorsia. La nourriture était excellente, nous avons pris le canard & le pavé en plat principal, délicieux! Ophélie, notre serveuse, nous a conseillé des fromages & des digestifs pour terminer le repas, excellente recommandation! Elle était si attentionnée & gentille, elle a fait preuve d'un grand professionnalisme & savait répondre à toute nos questions sur le menu. Un restaurant à essayer dès que possible!

The ambiance was great, & the service was amazing. From the hostess to our waitress Florence, everyone took very good care of us. Would recommend this place for sure.
Dorsia was absolutely incredible. Guillaume's service in particular made the visit all the more worth it. Food was delicious, service was fantastic. Can't recommend enough.
This French restaurant that I happened to choose when arriving in Montreal. I would like to say that their service was truly excellent. Thank you very much. It had a great atmosphere. The Agnolotti pasta tasted great. I would recommend the apricot cake instead. It has a very nice texture.
Une note de 10/10 plus que méritée pour le restaurant Dorsia! C'est simple, il s'agit de mon restaurant préférer suite à ma première visite avec mon conjoint début octobre. Guillaume, notre serveur de coeur nous donne à tout coup un service hors pair digne des plus grandes tables du monde! Bref, une expérience gastronomique que je recommande grandement si vous chercher une adresse ou découverte rime avec excellence!
