clean, nice atmosphere, quick & efficient service, pastries are ok..

I ordered a mix of bombolini, croissants & cookies. The cookies were inedible, raw & extremely hard. I threw them away. However the bombolini were great- soft, & they are not shy with the filling. The croissants are mediocre, filling is too sweet.
For the price of the cookies & croissants, I probably won't return.

Cute little dessert shop near the industrial area of St-Michel. There is not much parking space. From the outside, it looks like a mechanic shop, but once you enter the door, all the pops of colors & the smell of sugary treats fill your nose. The variety of bombolonis, cookies, & croissants is a challenge because you want to try them all. There is a small (2 seats) area there. I tried the Dubai cookie & the Nutella cookie. Omg! Both are delicious. The bomboloni with ricotta is so good. The filling inside is so creamy, & the small cannoli on top is good. I decided to do a mix box because I wanted to try a bit of everything. I found it to be a bit expensive 6 for 33$, but the quality is there.

What initially drew me to visit Dohie's was its fun & engaging presence on social media. The owner clearly knows how to leverage Instagram to promote her brand, which I found both refreshing & effective.

The shop is located in a busy area that's easy to find, with convenient parking. The interior is clean, welcoming, & nicely laid out.

Dohie's menu is divided into three main categories:
1. Donuts
2. Cookies
3. Croissants

Presentation: 5 stars across the board. Everything looks beautiful & thoughtfully prepared.

Pricing: Each item ranges from $6-$7, or you can opt for a box of six for around $34-$36. This is in line with what I'd expect for artisanal, specialty pastries.

Cookies:
I tried six different types. While they looked great, they weren't as soft or sweet as I expected. Some toppings tended to fall off easily, so be careful when transporting your box. Compared to other local pastry shops, these cookies were on the milder side in terms of sweetness & texture.

Donuts:
The donuts are generously sized with very ample fillings. I appreciated that. The filled donuts were decent in flavor, though I'd rate them somewhere between average & good. The non-filled donuts, however, were a bit dry as I was expecting a softer, chewier texture, especially at this price point. Again, I tried six varieties.

Croissants:
This category stood out more for me. I was especially looking forward to the pistachio croissant, having seen it often on their Instagram. While the filling was generous, the flavor didn't quite hit the mark. That said, this might be a personal bias, as I'm used to the bold flavor of salted pistachios, which differs from the lighter cream-based filling used here. On the other hand, the chocolate hazelnut croissant was excellent, it is light, fluffy, & filled with fresh hazelnut cream that absolutely justified the price.

In conclusion, I appreciate the effort & creativity behind Dohie's pastries, & I genuinely want to support local businesses here in Montreal. While not everything matched my personal taste, the shop has a lot of potential & I encourage others to try it out & support our local talent.
