I recommend ordering a two meat + rice combo with a noodles to split between three people, you'll be very full after.
Proper good grub feels like a HK BBQ joint. Become a regular, eat your way through the menu.... & then do it again ... & then bring your friends... Then bring your family... Rinse & repeat, its a winning formula.
We had the chicken & Pork signature menu with rice & bok choy, it was excellent! They even added tasty sauce with our meal. Great sevice. Will come back again.Definitely recommend!
Unassuming Chinese restaurant specialized in BBQ dishes. Tried their signature dish with BBQ duck & chaw main noodles. Very tasty. Credit card accepted.
Dobe & Andy makes some of the best Chinese BBQ I've had in Montreal. The roast duck is crispy & flavorful, the pork is tender, & every dish feels like it's made with real care. For those who know, this is HK comfort food at its best.
The vibe is low-key & friendly, & the food comes out fast. It's the kind of spot you think about days later & end up going back to without even planning it.
From a Chinese person's perspective, the restaurant is disappointing given the overall ratings. Limited menu, long wait for food (although they may have forgotten about our order & comped us an iced tea). Didn't mind the atmosphere as it would be what's expected in Chinatown.
The wonton noodles weren't great. The chow mein was fried a bit too much & noodles were used were too thin to be fried so much. The best part of the meal was the iced lemon tea.
Food is good, portions are on the smaller side. Chaotic & un organized service. They missed two items from our order, we were waiting for nothing, no one came to check on us & no real apology.
I've been going to Dobe & Andy for years. Best Chinese BBQ you'll ever get in Montreal. By far. Very nice crew as well. Don't miss out
The food was great but the service was even better. The waitress called Angela was very friendly & accommodating. She found out that we were christian & she even offered to pray for out food.
Definitely would come again.
My favorite place to eat Chinese food in Montreal! All their meat options are delicious, we usually order the two-meat plate with char siu pork & chicken & its amazing every time. Service is very standard, nothing special, & the place has a charming, weathered appearance - lots of old movie posters. A little grungy but the food really makes up for it. We love ordering take out!

This time around, we actually sat & took the time to dine.
Their noodles is something else & this time it was different.
Located inside a building, not hard to find. I'm usually in for these type of food for the price & quality. This place, the quality was not there. Ordered the roasted pork/BBQ pork combo. Roasted pork had more fat than meat, the skin was chewy. BBQ pork is usually moist but it was on the dry side, sauce should've been added but zero was added. Young Chow Fried Rice was the only decent part of the experience.
Carried by the one servant with the buzzcut, everything else is terrible.
