I had high hopes for Restaurant Doaba based on the reviews, but my visit was thoroughly disappointing.
From the moment I walked in, the girl manning the counter was blunt & rude. She seemed to lack basic customer service skills, treating us with a cold attitude, unlike the courteous behavior she showed towards Indian customers.
As for the food, it was a major letdown. Everything we ordered seemed to have the same overwhelming taste of ghee, with no real flavor or spice to distinguish the dishes. It was greasy & unappetizing, definitely not what we expected from an Indian restaurant.
Overall, the poor service & subpar food make it hard for me to recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options out there. I won't be returning nor recommending.
Consistently good & always available on skip the dishes at late hours. I ordered most of the vegetarian dishes & they've all been really good
I recommend the Chana samosa, chaat papri, aloo tikki. Over $30 on skip gets you free naan.
sept 8 2025: the malai kofta veggie curry was very good. I also had the Chana masala veggie curry & Sarson ka saag veggie curry & both were better than decent
Most recent order sept 12: everything was incredible. the best daal makhni I ever had! Great mixed veggies, aloo gobi & naans & rotis :) it came with a free mango lassi which was delicious as well.
I had the veggie burger in oct 2025 in house & it was good but I let them know the big slice of raw onion was a bit intense & they should cook the onion. The waitress was sweet
This place is amazing, I ordered Dhal Makhani it was so delicious. I loved the fresh ginger in it!
I also had a Tandoori Roti & a Garlic Naan.
The portions are very generous, ingredients are fresh & the whole meal was absolutely tasty. I highly recommend this place.
I had an incredible dining experience doabha restaurant thanks in large part to the outstanding service from Navjot kaur . She was warm, attentive, & incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, & she made sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive. It's rare to experience such personalized service, & it truly made our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant, & especially commend navjot kaur for going above & beyond. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Best restaurant for family dinner. I visited this restaurant today. The girl working at front was really friendly & soft spoken. She recommended us some dishes to try. The food came on time & the taste was so good . They gave us some complimentary dessert.

Bread pakora is the best thing I have tried from This restaurant. I really recommend this restaurant to everyone. The best restaurant in the Montreal. I wish I could give 10 stars ☺️
I visited this restaurant with my family for dinner yesterday. Very warm welcome by the host lady that was really impressive . We ordered shahi paneer, garlic naan, dal makhni, butter chicken & rice with mango lassi . Timing was so perfect, like order came on time at my table. The food was really delicious. I really recommend everyone to visit this restaurant once.
Ordered food from here & it was disgusting. There were pools of oil in my food & the naan was stale. It honestly seemed like the store bought ones (like you get at Maxi or Costco). Don't recommend the place! Service was fine though.

Really nice place & good food quality.butter chicken was so good same like authentic indian style highly recommend this place staff is super nice & friendly.best thing is service is really quick & they don't ignore customers like other place do.customer service is 10 & food is really really tasty.this restaurant is gem in montreal area.fresh food & fresh naan.will be coming back soon.don't forget to try carrot halwa
Yesterday night I went there to order some non veg items very happy with service & my food on time & its really nice fully enjoyed 😉 recommended to everyone who want to eat real indian food in downtown
