Today I tried my dinner from this restaurant but i felt it's the wastage of my money. The quality is worst. It spoils my mood as well. Totally bad experience.
I ordered food through Uber Eats & was very disappointed with the quality & we wanted to try this restaurant, but unfortunately it was not worth the money.
Genuinely horrendous place. I'm not sure if the staff were having a bad day or what but they were rude to me from the moment I walked in. I placed an order to go & after I paid, the woman at the counter said the payment didn't go through, even though it had indicated'accepted' on the terminal. After arguing back & forth, I paid (again)-a couple weeks later I checked my credit card statement, & they had indeed charged me twice. I reported the fraud to my credit card company & got it resolved.
While I waited for my order to be prepared, I sat down on one of the nearby chairs. The woman from the cash suddenly decided to sweep & went straight at my feet until I got up & moved to another chair.
& after all of that, the food was of terribly poor quality & the portions were small. This stands out as the worst food & service I've ever had in Montreal.

I had high hopes for Restaurant Doaba based on the reviews, but my visit was thoroughly disappointing.
From the moment I walked in, the girl manning the counter was blunt & rude. She seemed to lack basic customer service skills, treating us with a cold attitude, unlike the courteous behavior she showed towards Indian customers.
As for the food, it was a major letdown. Everything we ordered seemed to have the same overwhelming taste of ghee, with no real flavor or spice to distinguish the dishes. It was greasy & unappetizing, definitely not what we expected from an Indian restaurant.
Overall, the poor service & subpar food make it hard for me to recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options out there. I won't be returning nor recommending.
Consistently good & always available on skip the dishes at late hours. I ordered most of the vegetarian dishes & they've all been really good
I recommend the Chana samosa, chaat papri, aloo tikki. Over $30 on skip gets you free naan.
sept 8 2025: the malai kofta veggie curry was very good. I also had the Chana masala veggie curry & Sarson ka saag veggie curry & both were better than decent
Most recent order sept 12: everything was incredible. the best daal makhni I ever had! Great mixed veggies, aloo gobi & naans & rotis :) it came with a free mango lassi which was delicious as well.
I had the veggie burger in oct 2025 in house & it was good but I let them know the big slice of raw onion was a bit intense & they should cook the onion. The waitress was sweet
i just ordered non veg thalli & tandoori chicken leg through Uber, I'm really happy & satisfied with your food, thanks a lot, please keep the same work, I will always get food from here
