Dominic “Dick” Potenza was born in West Virginia and grew up in Utica, New York. He became well known in the Rochester - Buffalo area during the 40’s as a head-waiter in the supper-club type restaurants of the era. It was at one of these supper-clubs that he met his future wife, jazz accordionist Ann Collecchia, who performed using the stage name of Ann Russell. Together, they envisioned a fast food restaurant that would serve an original style hamburger with their own special sauce. After much thought, this original style hamburger took the form of a toasted bun containing a thin patty that would cook quickly. After they modified and combined two recipes that they brought with them from Rochester, Dick and Ann developed their famous hot sauce.

Shloppy as always. Always a fun game to play is try to spot the minority. Apart from the delivery drivers, it's impossible!! Overall very shloppy & good food. Would recommend. Although there is a very steep learning curve to appreciate the sloppiness of it all.View more

Un service courtois & gentil aux caisses (Marie-Claude, je crois, super gentille). Brandon a été très serviable lorsqu'on a dû revenir après la fermeture pour un sac oublié.
Bouffe : pour moi, les cheeseburgers sont un classique, tout comme les frites, croustillantes & moelleuses à l'intérieur. Mon copain a aimé le Chickann.
Le restaurant était propre ! Contrairement à PAT, les napkins & les condiments ne sont pas en'self-service', mais on nous en a généreusement donné lorsque demandé.
Je suis toujours satisfaite de mes visites au Dic Ann's, que ce soit au marché central, à Pointe-aux-Trembles ou à celui du boulevard Louis H. Lafontaine !View more

I really get it. The reviews were not exaggerating, I came for the first time last week & I'm back again this week. The burgers are simply perfection. The vibes in the restaurant are reminiscent of a classic American dinner & the service is as hospitable as you'd imagine. My favourite so far is the Hambourghini Fromage, I highly recommend it!View more
