The Sultan & Torsh kabob were incredible. Way better quality & flavour than bonab & behest. Price was $135 for two people after the tip including a pitcher of Aryan. Only complaint is to use an olive or avocado oil instead of canola. The rice gave us heartburn.
This is a great place , they do need to hire one more person for service but they are really nice & the food is amazing ! Best Persian food on Montreal . The meat is so good , the rice is perfect & even the sweets are great
The decoration & atmosphere is so well done !
Price are on the high side it'll cost you $50-75 per person here
The meat (barg) was good! Family vibe, spacious. Service was ok.
However….rice quality was very poor, too greasy (probably to compensate for low quality basmati rice).
Location has a plain & modern design (very much subjective, not my favorite)!
One of the best Persian restaurants in town-no exaggeration. Not only is the food outstanding, but the ambiance & décor are equally extraordinary.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with freshly baked homemade bread & cheese, served in true Persian style. It tasted like heaven.
For our appetizer, we ordered kashk-e bademjan, which was incredibly fresh, with every ingredient clearly made from scratch. For the main course, we tried kebab torsh, served with crispy tahdig & authentic Persian rice. The flavors were rich, & the portion was generous.
The staff was exceptionally kind & attentive, making the experience even better. If you're looking for a truly authentic Persian dining experience, this place is a must-visit!
This Persian restaurant was an absolute gem! After we placed our order, they brought out freshly baked bread with walnuts, cheese, & herbs-a delightful complimentary touch that set the tone for the meal. 😋🍞👍
The food itself was outstanding. Every rice dish came with a beautifully crisp Tadig, with lavash Tadig in the center & rice Tadig surrounding it-a perfect combination of textures that made every bite incredibly satisfying. 🍚🤤🌟
The kebabs were top-notch, made with high-quality meat & expertly grilled. The Bonab Kebab, made from ground mutton, was exceptional-juicy, flavorful, & perfectly charred. The Kubideh was rich & tender, while the Kebab Tursh had a delicious tangy marinade that elevated its taste even more. 🔥🍖💯
Beyond the food, the restaurant had a warm & inviting ambiance, & the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. If you're a fan of Persian cuisine or just love well-crafted food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ✨👏😊
I had an incredible dining experience at Diba Restaurant . The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Persian flavors that took me straight to Iran. The kebabs were juicy & perfectly grilled, & the saffron rice was fragrant & fluffy. The service was warm & welcoming, making the entire evening even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a genuine Persian culinary experience, this is the place to go.
It was my first time going there. The food is good. Comparing to other Iranian restaurants in Montreal, I like their koobideh (ground bedf skewer) the most. Barg skewer (veal) was delicious, the chicken skewer was not the best I had. So I recommend to try their Koobideh for $24 which is two skewers of ground beef kebab with rice. That's a great deal They serve you a bread made in the oven with cheese, walnuts & parsley as appetizers for free! I forgot to take a photo of that. I didn't try drinks or side dishes, desserts or tea.
Today, I visited Diba Restaurant for the first time & had a truly wonderful experience. The most remarkable aspect of this restaurant was its exceptional, professional, & courteous staff. Additionally, the spacious layout ensured we didn't feel crowded or disturb neighboring tables. A standout feature was the way the rice was served individually, paired with perfectly crispy Tahdig-it was absolutely delightful!
The food was good just the rice has more oil & the meat doesnt have enough sourness for me
This Persian restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is authentic & bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned kababs to fragrant saffron rice. The ambiance is warm & inviting. Don't miss the fresh-baked bread & the heavenly tahdig. If you're looking for a taste of Persia, this place is a must-visit.
Diba Restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy Persian food with rich, traditional flavors. The dishes, like kebabs, saffron rice, & tah dig (crispy rice), are fresh & well-prepared. The warm atmosphere & lovely decor make it a pleasant spot for dining. Portions are generous, & the freshly baked bread is an enjoyable touch. We appreciated how the staff checked on us several times during our meal, ensuring we were comfortable & satisfied. Additionally, our order was prepared quickly, which is important when dining with kids. Overall, it's a fantastic dining experience worth trying for anyone seeking delicious & flavorful food!
Diba was the very first Persian restaurant in Montreal which could meet our expectations. Location: Conveniently located at the corner of Somerled-Cavendish with available street parkings. Interior design is nice & cozy. Staff: Young, well-mannered individuals who were trying their best to serve the customers efficiently. Food: Tasty appetizers with freshly baked bread served on the side, tender & juicy kebabs. The only downside was the extremely greasy rice which was drenched in oil. This might have happened by accident though & hopefully will improve. Moreover, some main course options on the menu were a bit over-priced. Definitely recommend it & will go there another time.
